Funny, I was just looking to see if by chance anyone had started a thread on this. DH and I watched. I thought both Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys were excellent. It’s very intense. I’m not sure if it’s going to be beyond my enjoyment threshold because of that.

Interestingly we just watched the first season of Homeland over the holidays. Someone in DH’s office is hooked and had the boxed set. Now we’re all left wondering what the heck happened in S2, knowing S3 is on and we don’t have Showtime. First world problems. ;)

My D and I watched it (had to have something to fill in the American Horror time slot). We both really liked it. I think they are going down the Breaking Bad “decent people do really shocking things” road.

I really enjoyed the Pilot and now feel slightly too attached to the characters. I can’t want to see more of their backstory and their interactions with each other.

Liked this show. Keri Russell complained about how bad she looked as a dowdy 80’s housewife in those high waisted jeans. I was young and thin in the 80’s. I’m sure I never looked that good. Sigh!

I never saw Felicity but really liked Keri Russell in other projects, like the movie Waitress. Glad to see her continuing to work. I watched Brothers and Sisters and really disliked Rhyss’ character in that show, so I’m glad to see him in something new too.

Watched it from DVR last night. Truthfully, Keri Russell could probably smile into the camera for an hour and I’d be spellbound, but that’s my own burden to bear.

That opening sequence underscored by “Tusk” was excellent. We actually had some pretty good music back in them 80’s. The scene with the body-dump scored with Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” was also sublime. The final scene on Stan the FBI man snooping around the Olds under the watchful eye of newly committed-to-the-cause Philip left me wanting more. I will definitely be back.

That scene in the bar and then the hotel room where she seduced the FBI agent got me wondering what J Edgar Hoover would have thought of his agents …
Somehow I don’t think we’d ever see than on the old TV show The FBI with Efrem Zimbalist Jr.

Was anyone else surprised at the explicit scenes? I was watching it with my husband and teenage daughter, but thought a basic cable show wouldn’t be as graphic as showtime or hbo.

I like the stars, not a show I’ll watch with the 3 of us again.

eyemamom - Yes I was. My youngest walked in the room and I changed the channel… I liked the show over all but I thought it was there were parts that well I wouldn’t want to watch with my kids. DH kept noting things that reminded him of the 80’s. Like the clothes and the fact I used to own a car like that. The delta 88 not the sports car.:)
