to an A?

I think I might be reaching the 88/89 region…

I did once, my math teacher. The thing was though that I showed dramatic improvement. We have two nine week periods per semester and on the first nine weeks I got a C, second nine weeks I got an A and on the final I got an A. The grade was literally like a 89.34 or something like that and he moved it up to a 90.

i had an 89.3 and he left if as a B for the first quarter, luckily i got an A second quarter and for the midterm so an A overall

No…but I did have them change a “D” to a “C” even though I should have had an “A” or “B”

Last year our AP Euro teacher was very incompetent. At my school, juniors had state testing the last three weeks of April.
The first two weeks were AP Exams, and when we (juniors) weren’t in exams, we were in study groups.

Anyway…out of the 87 who took AP Euro there were 84 sophomores, 1 Junior (guess who) and 2 seniors. The seniors were both messed up badly too…because although they weren’t state testing they were out for various reasons too.

So my point (finally): When I was not in the class I went to his room EVERYDAY to see what I missed. His response was “Nothing important. We just kinda… Look over…” So I did. Well the last day of school he calls me and the seniors in there saying that while we were out we missed 3 200 point homework assignments that he forgot to give us and that if we could get it to him by the end of the day or email him by noon the next day he would take it.

Well, I did (yes, I stayed up the whole night doing homework AGAIN) and I sent it to him. He didn’t check his email in time and my grade for the last quarter was an F, and my final grade was a 69. I went up to guidance the next morning and when he saw me there he laughed and told guidance to change my grade to a 70. -______________-

I got an 89.55 in AP english, and 89.7 was considered an A. She changed it to 89.7 after I begged her after school (I know it’s pathetic, but I was like “**** it i have nothing to lose”). Only one other kid in her two classes of 35 each got an A, so that might have been why she changed it?

Also, soph year I got an 89.XX, and my Bio teacher made it an A. That was pretty cool.

I have gotten under a 91 in classes 13 times now.

MY 4.0 UW GPA WILL DIE ANOTHER DAY

I begged for extra credit and got it.

You might be able to do something with an 89 if you have extra credit, or if the teacher likes you, or if you can retake a test/do some extra work/bribe her/blackmail him/promise to extra well next quarter/cry if you’re a girl

I begged on my knees, literally, for my teacher to bump me up from an 89 to a 90.5 and it worked. For another class I just wrote my teacher a very lengthy email and he raised it from an 87 to a 90.5. no harm in asking.

I got an 85 up to a 90. The teacher loved me and I started the class with a 22% and brought it up that high, so she was willing to bump me up.

Some teachers at my school will do it for you. You don’t have to ask them to, but they’ll only do it if they know you’re making a sincere effort, coming in for help when you need it, participating in class, etc.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a borderline grade that was almost always around less than .2% away from getting an A or B. Can’t imagine how WAY better off my GPA would’ve been if I had actually asked the teacher if they could’ve bumped it up… Ughh :/

Man I wish our grades were like that, we have the 7 point system :(

I made a 77 on my World History final exam, so my teacher gave me a 20 point curve, hahahah.

ive threatened suicide before…wish i was joking
also ive used the “i’ll make you cookies, wash your car, etc”
but at my school a 94s an A so

My school has a policy of grade inflation. Grades from 88.5 and up are rounded up to an A; 78.5 and up to a B, and so on.

It was the last quarter of freshman year, and I had an 88.5 in Spanish 1. I didn’t really give a **** about that class, so I wasn’t begging my teacher for the A. Of course I did ask a few times about it, but I never actually begged. I gave her an end of the year thank you card, and she started crying and hugging me. I walked out after our semi-awkward and intimate moment, and she came out of the class and yelled me name, holding a worksheet, and said if I completed that, I’ll get an A in the class.

I talked my history teacher almost 3 or 4 times total into raising my test grades into As. I just pointed out the questions that were confusing, and mind-****** him a little, and he ended up curving some of my tests over 10 points. :D

WHERE DID MADOGMD’S BRILLIANTLY FUNNY POST GO?! I had a good laugh with that one.

Only if there’s an actual reason, such as a questionable question/answer. Otherwise, it’s unethical.

The only time was in one semester of freshman bio, i had a 89.44 (89.45 rounds up to a 90) and i told the teacher how unlucky i was and she was cool with it so she gave me the .01 next semester i got a 98.
