I’m a transfer applicant. I’ve been studying my ass off for the online spanish placement test the last two weeks. I took it tonight and got a 900. I think I read a post like a week ago that said this is a perfect score. Is that true? I mean, I consider myself a good guesser and all, and I didn’t think that test was that hard… but still. It’s not like I’m a native spanish speaker. I’m just curious. Gracias.

also, I didn’t use my student id # because I don’t have one yet. I just used my ssn in conjunction with all my other stuff (name, email, etc.) Think they’ll make any fuss about this?

what could we possibly say about this situation - none of us know if there is a bug, if you got all of the questions right, etc. how could we? we weren’t there when you took the test and we don’t have a copy of your results. i mean, what are you looking for us to say?

ps. your ssn is your student id.

My main question was: is it true that a 900 is a perfect score? Other than that, I guess your right. I think I was just looking for someone else to say like “yeah, I got a 900 too. That test was easy.”

According to the placement index, your score means you fulfilled the foreign language requirement, and you did it with finesse since the minimum score to pass out is 536. Congratulations (even if it may not be a perfect score)!

Why would you post that you got a perfect score on the Spanish placement test at Virginia if you are going to Carolina?

Like I said, I was just curious. I wanted to take the spanish test for UVa before deciding on UNC because I didn’t want to look back months from now and be like, “man, maybe I just decided on UNC cuz I was too lazy to study for a placement test.” Now I know.
