My doctor was literally making an incision in my arm when my phone alarm went off. I was not pleased.

Luckily it didn’t phase my doc.

I got it on my iPhone 7 with Verizon–I almost jumped out of my skin!

I got it twice. Only one person in my office didn’t get it and he has an iphone on AT&T.

It isn’t actually a text. It was a banner alert on my inactive phone screen. Verizon iPhone 6, in my (female) name, came at 11:18 Pacific time on the dot.

Unlike weather and Amber alerts, you can’t opt out. I find it Big Brother-ish and dystopian.

I got it; DH a few minutes later. They should rename it FEMA/Homeland Security National Alert, which I guess is what it is.

Yes, I got the Big Brother alert. But I’ve gotten weather alerts before and this one arrived in the middle of the thunderstorm so it was a bit worrying at first. Then it was worrying again, but for a different reason.

I got it woman, iPhone AT&T, also got a warning it was coming an hour before. Our whole meeting vibrated at the same time!

FEMA Alert seems like a better name. I hope it is used for true, credible emergencies.

Yes, Verizon Android. But on vibrate, not the loud tone. The loud Amber and Weather alerts bug me, so my settings allow the alerts but not the loud noise.

Out to lunch with friends, it seemed like the whole restaurant got it.

If the whatever does hit the fan, it wouldn’t be a bad place to be. I like to think we’d just order another bottle of wine.
