Another day of clean eating. Monster salad for lunch. BBQ combo platter for dinner (alas with a little sugar in my BBQ sauce and the spicy broccoli slaw, but I offset that with no dessert or snacks. Tracking is the only reason I can manage to skip the noshing…

Teri, a few years ago our town had a daffodil festival and our art association did a “Yellow” theme show to go with it. I did three paintings - my avatar “I’m just mad about Saffron”, another painting, “Big Yellow Taxi” and “They were all yellow” (from the Coldplay song) a painting of a pile of fire hydrants. Good song!

Oh how I hate the new CC mobile site! I can’t stomach it. Bleh. Rant over.

My home treadmill is Precor 9.31. It has just a few bells and whistles on the control panel, but the rest of the machine is top grade. I believe we paid $3,200 (9% sales tax included) 4 years ago.

No running, but a lot of mall walking after the class today. I did a bad, bad thing - ate a lemon bar and two mini scones from the catered lunch spread today. It was all $&#% stress! 10 mile run tomorrow or bust! :)

I’m sticking with the Landice. That Precor would be overkill for the amount I hope to be stuck indoors! but it sure was nice having it available on this trip. I did like the downhill ability, since that is important in my training. It also gives you the ability to work on speed without your heart rate climbing too high. About to head back over to do a short run on it. It snowed again yesterday and it’s just not nice outside…

Peacefulmom- sounds like you are doing well!

Testing to see if I reply to this thread, will I be able to “jump” to the last page on my phone? Otherwise, it would take me an entire day to go through this thread page by page to get to the end.

Keep it up Peaceful - you’re in the groove!!

Another day where my shoveling is going to have to count as my aerobic exercise - maybe an exercise video later and back to the gym tomorrow. I’m not even sure we HAVE sidewalks and roads under all this snow anymore!!!

abasket - we’re in the same boat here regarding all the snow. It really IS good exercise, unless you’re 70 years old and 100 lbs. overweight! My greatest fear in all of this is all the potholes that I’m starting to see creep up here. Spring roads are going to be ugly.

Trainer today for an hour. We ‘moved’ as opposed to ‘set trained’. I am exhausted, but mostly due to staying up till after 12:30 this morning finishing up Breaking Bad. I don’t want to give anything away, but the series final scene includes a song that is on my playlist, and tomorrow when I make it to the gym, I’m going to put that song on repeat and see what it does for me.

Am starting to get a little concerned that, when I train, I’ve lost a lot of the lower body exercises that we used to do, that I am ‘forbidden’ to do for now by the PT because they involve weight bearing on one leg at a time (except for leg press and squats). Will talk to PT tomorrow to see if I can start adding some stuff back in.

If stationary split squats are out, then it really is tough to think of more exercises. Hopefully they will ease off on that restriction as you progress. The rehab PT must have a reason. You’ve gotta be seeing progress I would think. It sounds like you’ve been consistent in following the rehab instructions.

~ 7 mile park run (my longest run yet). 36 degrees and foggy. Nike hyperwarm half-zip long sleeve top and Nike filament tights with a hat and gloves were just right. For some reason I had the oomph so I just kept on going. :)

I believe that it is against forum policy to post photos. In any case, the photo has to be hosted on the web already. You can’t post it from your computer. Then, you have to put a link to the photo’s URL with IMG tags.

You all are way ahead of me in figuring this new interface out. I really had to look for the unworthy emoticon! I’m definitely not worthy!

Took Saturday off as D was here visiting; after she left today I headed to the gym and ran. Good job on the run, Deborah - those are the best when you can just get out there and do it!

Nike distributed their suggested training plan on Friday. Training starts on Monday the 3rd, so I think this week will be a light one. I passed the 100 mile mark on Friday, so any extra mileage this week is just a bonus.
