And the best onion soup I’ve ever tasted. Vidalia Onion soup with Vermont cheddar. Wow.

Crazy place for a concert. 10,000 seat arena in the middle of a huge casino. Actually made for a pretty easy evening. Easy parking. Easy dinner (couldn’t get reservations, the place was packed, but I went early and was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was fine. Awesome show.

Son’s Girlfriend crushed the competition and won the NJ State Okympic Tri (again)! It was so exciting. We really enjoyed our weekend with her parents and took a “family” photo. She was 3rd out of the water, came out to transition tied for 2nd and came in 1st on the bike with a girl close behind her. She ran a 39 something 10K to put it away. I jogged a tenth of a mile or so. Walked total of 3 miles.
Sadly, in the middle of all this my dear 6 year old Ragdoll cat, Waylon Jennings, got rushed to the pet ER with a heart problem and then arrested. He’s gone, and we are just devastated. He was fine last night, and our pet sitter (a vet tech)did everything possible and got him to the ER. No prior symptoms.

MOfWC, congratulations to the gf! She is amazing.

Sooooo sad to hear about your kitty! Keep an eye on his kitty buddies; as I learned the hard way, cats can become depressed over the loss of another cat in the household (mine stopped eating and succumbed to a viral infection).

Thanks, everyone. It is such a shock.
I am SO tired. I haven’t slept well on this trip, and both yesterday and today were very early mornings to get out to the triathlon. I feel like I’ve been up for days. I’ve been walking and on my feet all weekend. Still too much food and wine.
WildChild would have made the podium Saturday (3rd) if he hadn’t wasted over a minute in transition (bike to run) deciding if he really wanted to go out on the run! I’m also tired of hearing bicycle talk non-stop. The girlfriend’s mother and I just started rolling our eyes.

Sorry to hear about your kitty, MOWC.
Looks like you went to a great concert, Idad.
Sabaray–good luck to your H. Seeing his numbers might be just what he needs. That’s what got my H on his path to weight loss.
I’ve been a slug today and have done nothing. I was up late this weekend entertaining friends and kid’s friends and now that everyone has finally left, I felt like sleeping late and not doing much of anything. Back to the routine tomorrow.

Drove to feed and check on my godkitties today. Saw an amusing thing: someone dumped a treadmill into the roadside ditch about a mile from my place! It looked almost brand new, but it was a rather flimsy model, a $300 Walmart kind.

Bromfield, I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Mohegan Sun (I hadn’t), but as big concert venues go, it’s fantastic. And, a relatively painless drive from central MA. About, an hour due south of Worcester. Took me 2 hours 10 minutes, which is a long drive, but not horrible. Of course, it might be a little longer doing it this coming Friday afternoon. But, first things, first. On Tuesday, I’m driving to Portland, ME for a special treat – [Ryan Adams](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube).

Cross Fit workout Friday. Six miles of hiking on the Appalachian Trail on Saturday. Lots of ups & downs, tree roots, and big stones. As usual, I lagged behind our friends, but it wasn’t due to being out of shape! I am just a tentative hiker and take steps very carefully! The walking stick helped, at least.

We saw three thru-hikers, on a very remote part of the trail. They all said that Maine is beautiful. :)
