Safe travels, MOfWC!

Ditto on safe travels^^^^ MOWC is going to need a day of rest after all this is over. Maybe more.

Did 16 miles today on the bike and enjoyed the very cool weather (50s and sunny). Had to fight through a strong wind on the uphill which wasn’t fun, but overall had a good time pedaling and listening to tunes.

Strong wind on the uphill…that must make it a 20 mile ride for sure!

^^^LOL, I didn’t count it as that, but there were times when I was mentally doing the “I think I can, I think I can.” It’s not a steep grade, but it is 3.5 miles long, which for me is still tough.

You’re comparing yourself to a high standard on this thread, Nrdsb4. Give yourself a pat on the back. :)

The downhill strikes again!

I’ve intentionally scaled back my last two hikes. Good workouts, but not enough to leave me crippled up. Just about right. Every hike doesn’t have to push my limits. :)

Ummm, I just had a 90 minute massage. Sooooooooo relaxed now.

Glad you’re okay, idad! Hope MoWC is home safe and getting some catch-up rest from the Hawaii trip! Nrds, what a perfect way to spend the afternoon, and a just reward for your recent biking efforts!

I just took S2 to the gym and yay, it’s thundering with a bit of rain ahead of a cold front. 90 degrees again today and heavy humidity. Inside, 3.5 miles on the treadmill.

I’m home- working from home and packing for my next trip tomorrow. No running again. It’s strange weather here- had the storms while we were traveling yesterday and it’s really windy and a little rainy today.

Took my swim lesson last night. Teacher says my stroke is fine. Need to work on kick and not be so stiff. Can’t do a somersault turn yet.

Hour on the treadmill tonight. 6:00 last mile.

6:00 last mile? Was that with or without your bionic leg?

Have had to be out of a routine the last few days with a room reno - it went well but I feel kind of slumpy!!! Anxious to get some exercise today besides painting, staining and moving furniture!!!

I bet he wore his jet pack! B-) Great job, Ohio!!!

This is my 3rd day with no exercise. My life is not manageable right now, and I just can’t run at this level of exhaustion. Maybe it’s just a big taper for Sunday’s Toronto Half Marathon. Maybe tomorrow am in Charlotte I can do a little. Sleep has to be the priority, though.

Yes MoWC, it’s a big taper!! Two weeks before my last half, I took a whole week off of running. And not for any good reason either, I just couldn’t make myself do it. I managed to run a very little bit the week right before. I don’t know if it helped, but it was the best I ever felt for a half.

Back to the basement for me. Good solid workout. Warm up. Core. Single leg deadlifts, TRX/Jungle Gym push ups. DB front squats. 3-pt rows.

I did the short version today. Maybe 20-25 minutes run fast walk this morning, and a brisk 2 mile walk this evening. Cooling off, finally…

MOWC, so you have a half marathon this weekend?? Can I have your frequent flyer miles from this week?? ;)

Good thing Kona was last weekend and not this weekend - not a good weather time on the island ahead.

Got a run in - not the longest in history but it felt good. Punted the gym cause it was close to 60 outside, but started sprinkling near the end - or when I ended the run - I won’t melt in the rain, but the iPhone I was holding might not favor the rain!!

abasket, when it is humid or drizzly, I run with my iPhone in a ziplock baggie - the baggies work great. Might also protect it from Ebola.

Haha - timely tip BB.

I wasn’t expecting it to rain at all - lucky that it held off till I got home. Otherwise I was going to have to resort to…well…a phone tucked in my capri leggings! I have an armband, but really prefer not to use it. Something about having the phone in my hand to see my music…
