Super jealous of the cruise, kmc! I could use that get-away.
Pilates then spent the morning at the vet with Sabapup who is evidently highly allergic to just about everything. I wish the pups could be claimed as dependents.

Glad you like the Bondi 4s, Bunsen. What did you decide to do about the Launches?
4 miles outside this morning- 23 degrees and clear. I’m glad I got out there. It was hard to get out of the warm bed with Ragdoll cats on either side of me. Hawi turns one this Sunday (and my husband turns 70, which no one can believe).
4.36 VERY sluggish miles of my run/walk. The last time I ran was a week ago when we were still in FL – aaaah the memories! I haven’t felt this “bad” while running in quite a while. Every thing just felt off. Oh well, at least I did it.
MOfWC, I think using them with my Superfeet inserts should help. I remembered that all Brooks shoes I had needed a bit of modification. There is plenty of room in the shoe; the issue is that somehow my foot slides forward when I run, and the toes hit the uppers.
Bondi 4s look quite sharp - like the combo of purple and orange is so pretty.
Snow has stopped for a bit and the sun is shining. Went to hot yoga today and felt great. Had a glass of red wine last night–California cabernet. It tasted great. Back on track today.
Yay Bromfield!
3 mile run track/treadmill at lunchtime! Happy to get it in in this busy week!!!
Heavy weight routine last night, will do indoor wattage ride tonight.
This weather affects me so weirdly. When I was up in the Poconos a couple of weeks ago, there I was xc skiing in mid-teens weather, with 30 mph winds, on an exposed lake, with no problems with my fingers from the cold. Tonight, driving home from work, in a car, with the heat on in mid-20s temps, and my fingers are so Raynaud’s syndrome. Grrrrr…
I had to look Raynaud’s up M n K- they talk about it being affected by cold and stress - maybe you were cold but relaxed in the Poconos? And then cold but stressed after work??
The stress differential is certainly there!
Beautiful day. 20 degrees. Deep blue sky. I made it out for 3.5 miles on snowshoes at the nearby Audubon Center at Massabesic Lake. Was just the right amount of workout. The trail had been broken, but not packed. There was a ton of snow. Felt great to get out for some fresh air and sunshine.
Based on the degree of difficulty in fresh snow on a pretty flat track, any of my other options would have been a little too much, I think. Give it a weekend for the rougher terrain to get packed down.
Gorgeous day here as well! Not a drop of rain, and the air smells like spring.
My usual 2 mile hill walk will do for today.
Exercise can relieve Reynaud’s spasms, as the increased circulation can help force blood back into the affected extremities. XC skiing is pretty vigorous exercise, whereas sitting in the car it pretty much the exact opposite, so it doesn’t surprise me there was no problem when skiing. Unfortunately there’s not too much you can do inside the car… car seat dancing? Swinging your arms around in large circles can help push blood back into your fingers, but it is tough to do in the car.
My D has Reynaud’s. It’s really creepy when some of her fingers turn dead white.
Cardio + weights this morning.
Driving is still tricky around here – around snowbanks, through intersections where you can’t see what’s coming because of the mountains of snow, etc. Many people have used salt to melt the snow on sidewalks, which is good and bad – good that the sidewalks are a little clearer/easier to walk on; bad in that it has created calf deep lakes at intersections, making crossing streets challenging.
Yippee. It’s snowing again! And headed for an overnight low of -6 degrees. Yikes. Glad I got my snowshoeing in yesterday.
We had flurries here most of the morning. Nothing stuck. We have a strong wind which makes wind chill about 16 degrees. I hate it. This is why I got a treadmill. 3.2 miles this morning after a late night at a disappointing basketball game.
XC skiing today. Super cold, 10 degrees but a very brisk wind. But once I got going, I was fine and warm. The trail was empty lol! Felt like a bada**
You ARE a bad***!
Ran 3.8 total miles in 1 mile intervals this morning before work. It’s 84 degrees right now. It feels like summertime, so I used my Lulu gift card and bought this:

It’s ridiculously cold, there’s no snow, I can’t xc ski, the roads have a ton of salt residue on them that worms its way into every moving part of my bikes. Am I grumpy yet? Lol
