Oh, abasket! That is SO CUTE!!! Love that print. I have a Lulu gift card, too… Hmmmm.

That was another “b” - "b"lankmind j- I don’t want to take any credit for cute clothing that is not due to me!!! But I like it too!

OOPS. Must have had you on the brain!

That lulu skirt is adorable! I made a commitment of no shopping until Aprl… So no lulu skirts for me.! Our lulu stores have these weird running tights - they have no seams and are supposed to provide even compression around the entire leg.

It’s like listening to a foreign language when its lululemon discussion time!

Any chance the idiot’s bill will get passed?

Too funny Bunsen! I hope he doesn’t come after my new skirt!

I have that style skirt, blankmind - I really like it. Mine is blue polka dot! The undershorts are super comfy.

That yoga pant thing is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Way to NOT get yourself reelected!!!

4.9 miles run/walk. felt marginally better than on Wednesday, but still a little sluggish/off. My right hip is bothering some – way deep inside. The joint? A muscle? I have no idea.

10 degrees here this morning. We’re to the beach to check on the house, dig out the place (hopefully not as much snow as Boston), and stay a few days – through the NEXT big snowstorm. This is getting really out of control. Maybe I’ll go snowshoeing at the beach!!!

Is that guy for real?

If he weren’t a politician, I would consider this a joke…

Did weights and core exercises last night.

Going with coworkers after work to a barre class. They’re half my age :/)

Ended the last work day of the week lunchtime with spin class and a warm up and cool down run on the track.

Disclosure: I’ve already planned to get up early tomorrow and take a trip to the local bakery for Valentine donuts - I’ve been thinking about them for weeks - and no one can stop me.

I seem to be signed up for the Hot Chocolate 15K which starts at 7am tomorrow. Daughter and son in law are also running the 15K and my husband is making his season racing debut in the 5K. I’m starting to get my old “freak out” stuff going, even though I AM NOT RACING. I AM JUST RUNNING. Right? This is a tough course and last year it was really, really cold (and will be again) and I thought I was going to die. I honestly don’t know how I made it through the race. I won my age group. Goal for tomorrow is to feel a lot better. My first race since Oct 19- Toronto Half.

So- I’ve eaten like cr*p today. Went to a breakfast seminar and had a giant bagel AND a donut. When I got to the office we had more donuts (I passed) and kolaches (I didn’t pass) to celebrate a company milestone. Tomorrow night for Valentine’s Day and H’s 70th birthday the next day we are going to a wine pairing event. Not doing well on the food front…

Enjoy the donut Abasket. Had my birthday glass of wine, which I loved, and I’m back on track.

Did hot yoga (flow class) on Wednesday, spinning on Thursday, and worked with my trainer today (core work, battle ropes, and working on a Cybex pulley machine doing squats and rows and other upper body work). Finished up with 2 miles on the treadmill. I’m going to try to get to a special restorative yoga class tomorrow afternoon–hoping I can beat the upcoming storm. My area of MA is supposed to get another 12 inches!! I’m officially SICK of SNOW!!!

There was just a huge debate about running outside in our town newspaper (it’s a small town–pop.just under 5K). There’s a group of 4-5 folks training for the Boston Marathon and they’ve been running outside. Someone wrote a letter to the paper suggesting that these folks should be banned from running (???) because it was too dangerous and someone could hit them. Letter writer said the training group guys were “selfish!” Lots of letters (on a website) supporting the original letter writer–surprising to me how nasty the anti-run outside group is. Wow!!

Good luck tomorrow, MOWC!!

I’d love to put that letter writer on a treadmill and let him run 18 miles. He will change his tune about outdoor running pronto!

Layer those Lulu’s MOWC and yes, just run - the heck with racing!

My daughter reminded me that I almost didn’t get out of the car last year at this race…

Bromfield–I read an article recently about how cars gradually took over the roads. It used to be commonplace to walk on the road–there were no sidewalks and you just had to watch out for the occasional galloping horse/coach. As cars became more numerous and faster, it became obvious they had the right of way on roads. Pedestrians were out of luck, unless/until sidewalks were built.

Runners should be careful to wear bright clothing in the daytime and lights at night. I am of the era when they were teaching us kids “Wear white at night!” and I’m always aware of whether I can be seen in time for a driver to stop. Especially an absent-minded one. But to make runners only run inside? Hahahahaha…
