Wow, Nrdsb. Good job! Give it a few more weeks - the other numbers will follow.
It is supposed to be a bit cooler today, so it is run or bust!

Woo hoo Nrdsb4 on those numbers, and to abasket who will have numbers of her own soon!
I know it sounds like I’m bragging but it’s 69 and sunny here with no humidity. It feels like it’s been raining and dreary for a long time so this sunshine is wonderful.
19 miles on the bike, it was windy going out and great on the way back, just the way I like it ;).
Soooo jealous…^^^^
Windy = built in AC.
Good results nrdsb4! Glad for the good news.
3.5 surprisingly easy miles on the track at the gym today. Probably could have ran outside because the day isn’t TOO hot or TOO humid, but I had my stuff at work so figured, “get er done!” Wish they’d keep the gym a little cooler though!!!
Good work, Nrdsb!
Raining this morning so I went to the gym instead of walking outside–did 60 minutes on the Cybex arc machine. Last night I did hot yoga–it was a difficult class and I was a sweaty mess when I finished!
So great news, Nrdsb4! The hard work paid off!
I found out this afternoon that I have to have emergency eye surgery tomorrow for a detached retina. I had to cancel my trip to DC/PA and besides being petrified, I am SO disappointed. It was my high school reunion that I have been really looking forward to, and the DC part was an important business trip.
And- I can’t run for at least 2 weeks, so there goes the streak.
^Wow, good luck with the surgery.
Were you injured? How did it happen?
OMG, I’m so sorry! Eyes are just important (if not more important!!) as legs… Hope it goes ok. Fingers and toes crossed for you.
MOWC, owwie! Thinking healing thoughts for you.
Oh, no. Heal fast MOWC. I know you will…
Hope all goes well tomorrow!
OMG MOWC! I’m sorry on all counts! Is it laser surgery? I had a torn retina - not the same, but years ago when I was pregnant with my D1 - the laser surgery was very effective.
Apparently it is somewhat common to have tears or detachment just as part of degeneation. Hoping all goes well for you tomorrow.
I had no symptoms except a little fogginess in the lower corner of my left eye, which I thought was probably contact lens related. No pain or anything. I went in last Monday and the doc switched out my lenses and tried some allergy drops. Follow up appt today and some tests and I was sent immediately downtown to the specialist. Didn’t even get to eat lunch. It was a long day. You can’t mess around with it. He wouldn’t even let me drive to PA (or ride) on Friday because of the altitude going over the VA mountains.
MOWC, I’m so sorry to hear about your eye surgery. Thinking good thoughts for you!
Thanks, everyone. It’s not laser- it’s more involved but takes only about 45 minutes. I can’t eat after midnight and it isn’t until 3:30. I’m not a brave patient.
We will be thinking about you before, during and after the surgery - it’s what needs to be done. Hope you can get a little sleep tonight.
MOWC. Thoughts and prayers.
MOWC. Thoughts and prayers.
I second that. Good luck!
