90s? Yikes. Hang in there, abasket!

We walked all over Arlington Cemetery today so I have a lot of steps on the Fitbit. At the airport drinking a lemon shandy beer!

Trainer today and a short walk (2 miles).
@BunsenBurner – Loved the quote! For me, yoga is one activity where I can really focus on myself and not compare myself to others. I really love that I can just focus on the poses and my breathing and not have a million things going on in my head at the same time. Does that make sense to those of you who do yoga?

I need to stay on this thread.

The Kayanos I have are men’s - they fit my gargantuan foot really well.

Went to the gym this morning for some time with the elliptical (which seems to be helping) and then Reformer class after work. Taking the class Monday afternoon really helps to end Monday on a high note.

84 and humid but got her done! Run, cut half the lawn and then celebrated and cooled off by handwashing my car!!! Whee!!!

Nice relaxed 4 mile run with two friends this morning. Doesn’t feel quite as muggy as yesterday did. Legs and ankle feel pretty good - crossing my fingers that it continues!

Got my 50 minute run done.

For anyone who uses RunKeeper - a special September fundraiser - run 26.2 miles cumulative in September, get $$ donated to programming to keep kids healthy:

Sabaray - <:-P and :)>-

Here’s hoping, Sabaray. Sounds like you have turned the corner.
3.1 miles this am back here in Tennessee. I wore the same shoes 4 days in a row on the trip (1st world problems…)- the Bondi 4s- and I was ready to switch it up. Wore my Skora Tempos this morning. Felt like a Gazelle and I’m sure that’s what all the passing cars were thinking, too.

Lol, MOfWC! I too love to switch up my shoes whether they are running or not. Otherwise, how can I justify the existence of so many pairs in my closet?

Did a 10.25 mile run tonight. It sure was hot and humid.

3.25 miles of morning hill slog. Legs tired but they always are on that hill. It just never gets easier. 70 degrees, 92 percent humidity. Blech!

Yep, summer and the drip sure came back didn’t it!

No exercise except for some pup walks today and tomorrow - finally having the colonoscopy I have put off for so long tomorrow so today is a liquids day, tonight you-know-what, and tomorrow the procedure. I thought about going to spin class today but decided since I can’t eat it might not be the best idea. Liquids suck!

Really slow run this morning – the heat and humidity kept me at a very slow pace.

Almost got run over by a car, though – driver was texting and didn’t see me. I stopped just in time (and I had the right of way). I waved at her, and she looked totally shocked – and then apologized while holding the phone, of course. After the fact, I wondered if I should have made her open her car window and explain just how close she was (I don’t think she understood that if I hadn’t stopped, she would have hit me – since she drove through a pedestrian walkway where cars are supposed to stop), and warn her that texting and driving is really really dangerous.

Good luck, abasket. Fireandrain- that is SO scary. I think most car drivers on the road are distracted these days.

3.3 miles this morning- reverted to #noshirtsummer since it was 69 and humid. I did OK, though. It was interesting- I did not take my Forteo injections with me on the last trip to PA/VA because I was only going to miss 3 days and my doctor said I didn’t need to travel with it due to the logistics of the ice packs, refrigeration etc. When I am off it a couple of days, my running feels better. I noticed that last fall when I ran Toronto Half and didn’t take the Forteo. Oh well.

abasket, good luck with liquids. This too shall pass (no pun intended, I swear. )

Fireandrain - yikes!! I can relate - to get to work, I have to cross 2 lanes of traffic traveling at 35 mph. There is no formal stop sign, just the measly crosswalk that every driver ignores. A person was seriously injured there trying to cross… I think it will take a dead body to make the city to do something about this busy crosswalk!

That’s super scary fireandrain. When will people get it?! - put the phone down and drive!! I often run on a stretch of road that is not busy but there is no sidewalk so I will run so I can see ongoing cars. At each corner I look over my shoulder for cars, etc. But I have to admit I think about some random car that will be texting and swerve way over to the opposite curb - where I am.

I recently got a new car that has bluetooth - though I don’t spend every minute in the car talking, it is WONDERFUL to have hands-off talking.

I am really wondering where iDad went! I hope everything is OK.

Me too!! Hope he is just super busy.
