Thanks for the reminder MOWC! I have a black wrap much like that with the finger holes and kind of off-center wrap that is a great go-to in the fall for walking outside, errands, etc. Mine is a little shorter but as you said, uber comfortable and just the right weight for fall.
Nice!
Did you get the pink one? I had a hard time deciding between navy/plaid and bronze/butterflies. In the end, the butterflies won!
I did get the pink one- it’s a very subdued, pretty shade (I like pink, but I have enough “in your face” pink). I’m sure I’ll wind up with that vest in due order…
I love that heathered pink! Wearing the vest in the office today and don’t feel overheated.
So I asked my daughter the significance of being selected to be a Lululemon Ambassador. I thought it was just the publicity and public exposure plus the credibility of being recognized by a major company in the fitness community. Then I found out that she will get like a 35% discount off of purchases and a very large annual stipend for 2 years to be used to purchase clothing. Now I’m really jealous!
I’m jealous, Michael! That’s sort of like my Brooks sponsorship that I had. But no stipend.
Got back from my high school reunion today where I connected with my two best friends from those days–great memories.
Walked two mornings, but the other days were rainy and there was a tornado watch so we went ioimside
Interesting article on nutrition. Once you get past the promotional stuff usually found in their articles, it does address some hot topic issues. http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/top-10-nutrition-questions
MNK, great article! I like the hand guide to food measurement.
This is my favorite part from the article:
Kind of goes along with our philosophy here!
Mr. Sabaray and I had a nice walk this morning with the pups. They were thrilled with a longer walk, and “Dad” got some exercise. It also built his confidence - it was an activity he could handle and he managed our big hill without too much difficulty. Little steps.
I ran 6.6 miles after work tonight. It was supposed to be a 10 mile run, but I started in a light rain that turned into steady rain so I quit early. Running in the dark in the rain in a foreign country doesn’t seem like a very smart idea. I think the rain should end by early afternoon tomorrow so hopefully I’ll be able to get a longer run in tomorrow night.
abasket-your birthday sounded wonderful! I know I am at the point where I treasure any time where our family is together. Sadly, that doesn’t happen much anymore.
Sounds like a good decision C3Baker! How long are you out of the country for?
A little envious of everyone’s travel!
52 minute run this morning. I’m a little tired from Sunday’s 13, but I got it done.
Checking off yearly physical tests. Now working on scheduling my first bone density test and colonoscopy. Hope I get blood work back soon… Also got my very first flu shot! Nice that a few people are noticing the weight loss.
Good job NM! And extra kudos on the NOT “extra pounds” on you!!
As someone who “just” finished all those tests I can tell you while it took awhile (I insisted on kind of checking them off one by one…schedule this, get results, schedule that, get results…) except an eye doc appointment I’m done! Just got my 10 year pass till the next colonoscopy today!
Went to a local park and 41 minutes later had 4 miles done and saw about a dozen deer along the way!
It’s always a “win” when you see deer or bunnies on a run.
Good job, NMinn! I get my flu shot tomorrow, and I’m afraid of them. I get one every year at work and I’m always a baby about it. I was told by the nurse last year that since I have tattoos I have waived the right to whine about the flu shot!
I remember that, MOfWC!
I see bunnies in my yard every morning… Mr. B has “deported” a large number of them to greener pastures across the busy freeway, but new ones keep coming in. Our backyard provides a sanctuary for them to hide from coyotes. Thank goodness the owl returned (judging by the singing we heard last night), so fingers crossed…
Sprinted up the hill because the bus was desperately late!! Walked another mile at lunch. Time to head out into the “wild” - hope the Chinese are eating dinner and not parading the streets, so my bus can get out of the city.
I saw a big old raccoon a couple days ago on an early run - he was not very interested in or worried about me. Today my run took me past several horse properties & a rodeo grounds & Oh, the smell. Yikes.
I did 4 miles this morning which is my longest pre-work run to date - I did not feel much like standing at my stand-up desk today!
