NM, you always have the best sounding meals. And what a workout!

Yep, the proportions on the long Roga are really off. I personally like longer legs with a higher waist than the Roga has (like the Lulu Groove shorts). They feel very constricting and just look strange. I guess they won’t be signing me up to be their ambassador any time soon!

Last speed work, such as it is. 5k in a week and a half. D is running the 5k to warm up with me and the 10k with H and hoping that he is going to pace her for a PR. Last year we ran together and I’m happy that this year it’s separate. Im not as fast as them and hate when people think they should run my slow pace. Run your own race, lol!

I have a regular pair of roga shorts and they are really nice. I find that they are comparable to my lulu groovy run shorts that aren’t made any more.

That’s great, MnK! Wow, NorthernMinn, that is a good workout! And yum to your dinner.

Cooler is still pretty warm here (80’s) I did 5K outside this morning around 10. It was also humid and sunny–not my favorite running weather.

Runningskirts.com has the Kona collection with free shipping today (this week?) in honor of Kona Ironman week (which, blessedly, I am not there for this year). There are some really cute Kona print capris. I already have the running skirt.

MNK–Congratulations to your D.

Went to the gym today and did 40 minutes on the Cybex machine. Followed by 20 minutes of strength training–squats with weights, lunge/twist with a weight, triceps extensions, and a few push-ups.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments about my daughter! Training clients tonight and then doing Parallettes and body weight training.

40 minute run this morning.

Walked close to 3 miles last night. The weather was too good to take the city bus.

2 mile run this morning - straight run with no run/walk. I’m trying to take it easy this week to get the slight pain in my hip tendon to go away. It felt much better this morning & still does after the run. I’'m not sure how many miles to plan for my long run this weekend. It seems like I just have to see how I’m feeling that day.

Good article, Bunsen!

2.2 this morning as I taper for Saturday’s half marathon. It was darkish at 6:15am. Ugh. Walked the new doggie just a short ways before I had to head for work. Having a dog is good for more time on my feet!

4 miles walking this morning. Calf pain was still there so decreased the incline and it disappeared. Hmmm…

Many of you may have seen this already- a good read for anyone who is doubting what they can do in terms of exercise and to me, most significantly is the visual - how different and physically BETTER this woman looks after making an exercise commitment. (and look at her clothes! what a difference - you see CONFIDENCE in that woman to wear what makes her feel good on her runs - yeah for her!!!)

She started running at age 62.

Yay for her! I am always inspired by people who get out there & tackle a problem instead of resigning themselves to it. Thanks for sharing!

Yoga class (Vinyasa) today and a short (about a mile) walk with our new puppy (Rosie).

Having S and fiance over for dinner tonight - chicken wings on the grill and kale salad (it’s National Kale Day - who knew?!) Took a 20 minute speed walk at lunchtime at work and then quick got in a 4 mile bike ride before I had to start grilling the viddles - best I can do today!!!

@abasket, do you make kale salad? I like the kale salad from Costco, but if you have an easy, good recipe, please pass it along. Thanks

Reformer class after work will be it for today! Oh, and two pup walks.

Two walks today of about two miles each. It’s hot, and I had my hair done. I’m using the worst excuse in the book, but I didn’t want that professional drying job on my somewhat unruly mop undone with a sweaty head!

Swam for an hour, and lifted weights. Then spent the afternoon baking. I’m hoping not to eat too much of what I made.
