I didn’t buy anything today either, but I had a really good nap!

I bought some Picky Bars online, an Oiselle top, some Hokas for WildChild and some Tom’s booties. All online.

Great stories of your Thanksgiving days and the family traditions!

Ohio, hope the shins are better tomorrow!

No shopping today. The thought of fighting any crowds makes me anxious :o ! H and I packed up some snacks and drove up to our favorite state park for a 7 mile hike. It was a beautiful day with a good breeze that rattled the forest pines as we walked. Leftover dinner number one tonight. Only x many more to go

Our cats helped us handle the turkey leftovers so efficiently that we are almost out! Good thing I need to cook another one tomorrow when the big kids come to visit.

I too have not ventured out of the house yet. Neiman is having a great little sale, but their site croaked so many times today I lost patience. Lol.

Trying to convince Mr. to do some exercising in our home “gym” tonight!

6.3 miles in light rain this morning- 60 degrees. Took a #sweatieselfie by the library Christmas tree afterwards standing next to The Cat in the Hat! I’m aiming for my highest mileage week this year- just because I had days off from work and could do it!

I hit 1500 miles for the year during the run today. I had revised my goal to 1600, but it’s nice to have the 1500 done. I sure don’t miss the days when I was scrambling for 2000 miles. That was too much for me. Considering I missed a couple of weeks with the eye surgery in June, I’m happy with this.

That is one heck of a mileage! Congrats, MOfWC!

That truly is impressive. I have learned that your goals/streaks are really important and motivating for you. You inspire me!

That’s awesome, MOWC.

Today I had a short 7.5 miles then we had a nice get-together with the group for breakfast at someone’s home. I say a short 7.5 miles but when I looked at Strava, parts of the route were described as “the hard way” and “little hill of pain”. I could not have agreed more. But it’s done!

Good job, sabaray. I don’t know that 7.5 miles can ever be “short”…

abasket- It’s interesting. My goals and streak used to be a huge motivation. Now I really don’t notice them that much. It’s become almost automatic. I have a streak widget on my runningahead online log, and I actually have to go look to see how many days I have in the streak (147). Running has become so essential to my physical and mental well-being, that I think that is more the driver than the goals. Since I am such a head case about racing, I don’t dare set time goals for races or I might wind up in the mental hospital! Just like when I ran through the pregnancies- there is almost a fear that the day I stop of say “Ehhh- don’t feel like it today,” I’ll never get out there again! If that makes sense…

Makes TOTAL sense!

Great job MOWC!

9 miles with the group today. Very cold start - pretty close to freezing temps here until the sun came up.

24 degrees this morning! And it will be chilly at the start of the downtown marathon tomorrow. Mr does not want to go to the trail… so it will be treadmill for me later in the day.

My plan for the Christmas break is to clean the home gym and make room for a third machine.

Bunsen- isn’t that unusually cold for there? What new machine? Do tell!

I went to Lulu today and was shocked to find racks and racks of sale things. Normally, there are one or two racks. I got a few things on sale and a few full price items. You can’t return the sale things, so I was afraid to try to get anything for my daughter. She has to try on Lulu because, as one of our friends says, she “isn’t a giraffe”. The Pleat III skirt was on sale for $29? I didn’t get it because I didn’t feel like trying on and I forgot if I got 4 or 6 in that.

I have not decided yet what we need/want. All suggestions are welcome! Mr. killed my idea of getting a pullup bar. Too unstable… LOL. And nothing can be attached to the studs 'cause they are flimsy/I am too precious. LOL again.

Ran 3.5 on the treadmill. It is nice and warm in the sun, but our street is tree-lined, so there is still frost on the ground. Yes, it is quite chilly by our standards.

Had a great Thanksgiving with our daughter and her boyfriend. We did a 5 mile run in the morning and spent the rest of the day cooking, watching football, and eating. Perfect day! We flew home yesterday and arrived to non-stop rain. With the travel day, no opportunity for Black Friday shopping but that’s fine with me. We did a short walk after we got home just so we could say we did #OptOutside.

Picked the dog up from the kennel this morning and he was happy to get a long walk today even though it was raining. It should be clear tomorrow so it will be a good day for a run.

Michael-love the story about your son and his client’s husband!

Bunsen, you could always get a standing pull-up/dip combo peice, just sayin’ :).

4.5 miles in light rain (and some not as light rain). I normally wouldn’t have gone outside, but it was 59 degrees and I did OK. I wore a light (not the ones we just got) Lulu “water resistant” pullover jacket which wasn’t really very water-resistant. 40 mile week!

WildChild is downstairs on the bike trainer for 3 hours. Ugh.

Gotta get back in gear today. I had the whole week off, D was home from college, intense family Thanksgiving, too much food, too much sleep. Tomorrow, it’s back to real life.

Yes, so true! ^^^ And feeling like I have oodles and oodles of “must do” stuff to do at home, at work and for the holidays! Going to have to wake up tomorrow ready to put it in gear for the next three weeks!!!

But, it has been SOO nice to have everyone home for all or a portion of the long weekend - really, priceless. <3

Hoping to get outside for either a run or a really long walk after my girls depart mid afternoon.

3 hours on the indoor bike trainer, MOWC? I would have a psychotic episode! Yesterday, I tried to do a 90 minute indoor ride consisting of 6x 9 minute intervals at 110% FTP. Could only get through 4 1/2 of them at 62 minutes in before my brain could no longer cope with the distress messages from my legs! Kudos to your son for his perseverance. It’s rainy and wet here today so I think I will try an indoor 90 minute recovery endurance ride. Netflix has the new season of Longmire available so maybe I can last the entire 90 minutes :).
