Michael- that would drive me crazy, needless to say. Heal up!

sabaray- the online owner’s manual (which you can download) is pretty good at walking you through the setup.

4.3 miles just now and I got caught in a pouring rain. It wasn’t cold, but I don’t like running in the rain. Done.

Pizzagirl hasn’t abandoned us- she is in a little bit of a timeout.

I was wondering if you had abandoned us! Blasted thing is charging now. I should have plugged it in at work but they all think I’m nuts for running as it is. They give you a little quick start guide and I have the manual - I just want them to do it all for me.

Sabaray - the Garmin videos are good to get a good overview as well. I’ve downloaded some activities for the watch that didnt come standard. I think indoor bike, run indoors, other?

I keep my charger cord in the car and charge on the way to work. Keeps a long charge though. Another feature that I like is the “broadcast heart rate”. If you hold the up arrow on the heartbeat (and select broadcast heartbeat) you can see your continuous heart beat.

dmd77, I can only stretch standing up. No lowering of my head. When the dental assistant was giving me my discharge instructions, she said I couldn’t bend over to pick things up and should keep my body and head upright if picking something up. I should have kept my thoughts to myself. For some reason I felt compelled to ask if that meant I could do sets of deadlifts. What is it they tell first year law students, MOWC, never ask a question you don’t know the answer to? Well here I knew the answer and I was still enough of a dummy to ask it. Must have been all the numbing going to my brain :D.

MOWC, I was kinda lol ing at your comment of @Pizzagirl being in a bit of a time out. I got this picture of her sitting in the corner, like when my kids were toddlers. Just made me giggle, sorry.

2 runs, 1 longer walk. Was out of town until Tuesday and sat in the car for what seemed like forever so happy to get out and do something. The weekend weather is suppose to be cold but the last couple of days have been really nice.

Sabaray- you have to decide what you want to see on each screen, on Screen 1 I have distance, time, pace and HR. On screen 2 I have ave pace, lap time, ave HR and I forget what else. I might have elevation and time on screen 3. I have lap split beeps and gives me my time for each mile.

Workout with my trainer this afternoon and slow flow yoga this evening. Also, walked the dog for 1.5 miles this morning. My H usually takes her in the am, but he’s traveling.

MNK: there are actually some standing yoga poses that you could do that don’t require lowering your head–Mountain, Chair, Eagle, Tree, Goddess.

I think sleep is a good exercise for Michael.

Planned a day off tomorrow, but I got hit with 2 urgent things.

Scored 2 long Align pants in turquoise and purple. Last ones in my size in the entire store. The sales person said the colors fly off the shelfs as soon as the store gets them.

Wow, Bunsen! Good work on the Aligns. I grabbed the pink ones. I would love turquoise.

Thanks for the “update” on PG. Hope to see her back soon!

Ended up taking a cab to the restaurant because one of our group insisted she had to wear her high heels and wasn’t willing to walk the 1.25 miles (huff! I have no patience for that stuff!) I came back from our dinner and went and ran the treadmill for 2.5 before hitting the shower and soon sleep.

Maybe I’m out of the loop on this , but my hotel has a New Balance “shop” where for $5 you can go in and rent a pair or running shoes/socks and other exercise apparel. Who knew!!? I guess you get to keep the socks. I brought my own everything so no need but interesting concept!

I think it’s great that hotels do that, but I prefer my own gear.

What? What kind of lousy heels are those that make walking 1.25 miles in them a pain?

Some fun:

3.5 mile walk and yoga yesterday. Training walk/run this AM.

Going to NYC tomorrow AM, I will get my walking in for sure. It will be interesting to see how many steps I log. Have already told D that she will be doing my training walk/run with me in Central Park on Sunday. Of course she usually does much more!

Hope you enjoy your visit, FallGirl!

We are finally going to get a break in the weather - no rain, just humidity tomorrow! Never thought I’d be happy to say “just humid”. Pilates training this morning, worked on pelvic curls, hip openers, hamstring stretches, most hated spine twist supine, roll ups, back rowing, stretches, side splits and single leg skate. Plus arm work. Not necessarily in that order.

2 hour run planned tomorrow which I will do with my group - then new workouts next week.

sabaray- Better weather is coming your way. It was 54 and dry this morning- just gorgeous. I am heading to Ocean City, NJ to meet up with a bunch of CC ladies (8 of us total) and the weather is not going to be good. I had been planning all my cute running outfits for my hot runs on the boardwalk- carry water etc.- and it’s going to be in the mid to low 40s with highs MAYBE in the low 60s. It will still be fun, but not a “beach” vacation. Looking forward to FLAT, though. One quick night and morning in the Poconos before heading to “da shore”.

MOfWC, I am so jealous - in the good sense of the word. 8 CCers! Awesome. Hope running is good. At least you don’t have to carry water!

Our invites must have been lost in the mail, Bunsen! Hope you enjoy, MOWC!

Have fun MOWC!

Even though I’m sitting in the airport in Boston, I’m jealous of the fun weekends ahead for some of you! Work trips = ok, but not necessarily “fun”.

I had a good workout with my trainer last night and this morning was an easy 3.2 mile run with Back on My Feet. It was fun to hear everyone talking about their experience running the half marathon last Saturday. Tomorrow will be a longer run - it is going to be a very cool weekend, but hopefully a dry one. I have a LOT of yardwork that needs to get done.

abasket - I can’t imagine renting running shoes!

MOWC - have a fun weekend. The cool weather doesn’t sound that great, but I’m sure you’ll have fun anyway.

FallGirl - I hope you have a great time in NYC!

Michael - having a tooth extracted sounds awful! I hate anything dental related. I hope you do take advantage of the forced downtime and get some real rest. Too often you seem to be burning the candle at both ends.
