Wow. Hope C3Baker’s friend is OK.

Hope C3’s friend is ok and Bunsen’s hip is better.

On the return bus from NYC. Did not do a training walk/run as I foolishly wore my loafers when walking around yesterday and have blisters today. Still logged 19k plus steps yesterday and 17k today. It is my birthday so I had 3 mini ( bite size) cupcakes to celebrate. Well also 3 glasses of wine last night

Scrubbed half of the back deck! 2,000 steps in Fitbit units of measurement. Still have ways to go… The white railings and glass panels are covered with icky black stuff, and there are some lichens (!) growing on the railing. Yikes, does it mean they feed off aluminum?

Back from getting my new shoes. Total anticlimax - I got the same Brooks Glycerin that I had before. They just felt leaps & bounds better than anything else I tried on. I did go a half-size up though, to see if that helps with my sore toe-tips after long runs. At least they were FREE - I won a drawing. Yee ha!

Happy birthday, FallGirl! I hope you enjoyed Hamilton!

Yesterday I noticed I had around 30k steps - that included my run - so decided to take a “bonus” walk - new milestone of 35k. D had better appreciate all the cleaning I am doing because it’s not paying off in steps. Grumble.

Happy birthday, FallGirl!

LOL, sabaray, housework is a total waste of Fitbit time. I once vacuumed the entire house (close to 2,000 square feet of carpeted surfaces) and noticed that it only registered 200 steps or so! At least deck scrubbing is more productive step-wise. Congrats on getting 35k steps! That is amazing.

35,000 steps is very impressive!

In general, housework is a total waste of time IMHO. The dogs agreed so we just had a nice walk.

Went to Cape May and walked a little, then came back to Ocean City and did a 3 mile Boardwalk walk with pizzagirl, jym626 and frazzled. At 27000 steps for the day so far but it’s cocktail time so…

Gertrude, proven beats flashy. Enjoy your new Glycerins, they are awesome shoes. I ran my first marathon in Glycerins before switching to Pure and then to Hokas. I got disappointed when Brooks changed their design… Maybe I need to revisit.

Thanks BB - I tried some Sauconys & some Asics & they were nice, but then I put the Brooks on & they just felt right. Other than the toe-tip thing, they have been awesome.

So fun MOWC! You are so lucky to have met so much of the “family” here.

Happy Birthday FallGirl! Calories don’t matter on your birthday!

Sabaray- run or not - 35,000 steps - wow - surprised your Fitbit didn’t combust!

The weather better improve this week or I’m moving. Today it was spitting little ice balls - sort of a hail/snow mix - IT’S MAY 15 for goodness sake!! I’m mean, it was just a bit, but SOOO cold! I just know we are going to miss spring and go right to hot summer. ;( I am so, so far behind in my yard work - I’m starting to panic.

Happy Birthday, FallGirl!

Nice run, Gertrude. I’m also a tried and true gal when it comes to shoes. I hope the half size up works for you.

Wow, sabaray. That’s an impressive step number for one day!

What a great time you all must be having MoWC! Enjoy!

Blah to your cold spell, abasket. Ice and snow in May is just not fair.

I’m back home from the beach. Sighhhhh. My toes really took a beating in the sand. I must have caught some sand or shell in between my toes one day because I got a blister and unfortunately wrapping the afflicted toe with a bandage caused another blister on the adjacent toe. It’s going to take a few days to heal these feet up. I also did something really, really dumb tonight with one of my Balega socks. I blush to say this, but while getting ready to go for a walk tonight, I dropped one sock down the toilet. Dear septic god, please don’t let this non-biodegradable object cause a blockage. DH is much amused and horrified at the same time. He plunged it down. I’ve been the butt of many a joke :open_mouth:

“Sabaray- run or not - 35,000 steps - wow - surprised your Fitbit didn’t combust!”

It only takes 50 miles to get to 100,000 steps… Can’t wait to hear sabaray’s report on getting there. JK.

PlantMom - nooo! Not a Balega sock.

Oh no Plantmom! Poor sock! Great job, Gertrude. That’s a long way. Sabaray- That’s a lot of steps. We haven’t been eating exactly healthily, to say the least.

What an ignonimous fate for your Balega, PlantMom! That’s absolutely the kind of thing that would happen to me, though. Hope your toes are feeling better - that’s basically what happened to Sabadog’s paw - he had to wear the cone of shame, though!

I suspect a few of you have the 35k step badge too. You forget I have two large pups that need their activity! If I ever decide to get to 100k in one day, someone needs to talk me out of it. Please.

Easy 65 minute run this morning, Pilates class this afternoon. My arms are tired from all the polishing I did yesterday - I rubbed down all of our wood furniture with lemon oil, cleaned baseboards and our dining room chandelier. Lots of reaching up! At least I don’t have any bat wings to admire any longer.

I ran over the Somers Point bridges today. I thought it was one bridge, but it was 2. So not flat today. I had to fight an unbelievable wind the whole way over but it wasn’t as bad (still some) coming back. I was planning 5 but wasn’t quite to Somers Point at 2 1/2 and it seemed stupid to not make it there. It was gorgeous running over the bay, though.
Michael- have you biked over those bridges? 6.5 done in my bright yellow Nikes.

Great job conquering the bridge, MOfWC. Sabaray, I feel your pain. My butt is sore from my weekend weed-pulling activities. I still have ways to go! Hip is still wonky, so it is a good thing I got the appointments going.

I am dead flat tired this morning. Triathlon (sprint) last weekend, trip-and-fall on my long run Thursday (6.5 miles is a long run for me, and besides I did lots of hills), two hours of setting pavers Friday, weekend of dog agility (lots of walking and some serious sprinting). I’d optimistically planned to swim with a friend today but thankfully she sent a text to say she was too tired and all I could think was “oh, me too.” My weight is up four pounds in a week, and I’m pretty sure it’s all in my very sore and very tired muscles. Drinking lots of water and planning on sitting around and watching a movie this afternoon. I realize that’s one long whine, and I apologize. This is when I envy the motivation behind @MomofWildChild 's streak! If I had a streak to maintain, I might get off my rear and do something later
