Is there a difference between the theatre audition and musical theatre audition? Also, if you decide to major in theatre, are you still exposed to singing, dancing, etc.?

Thank you!

Yes, there is a difference. Theatre and Musical Theatre are different departments at Michigan and conduct auditions differently (and separately). Theatre majors can take electives in singing, dancing etc., and can audition for student-run productions, like “Musket” or “Basement Arts”.
