Direct admit day or red carpet day

Hi, wondering which is the better day for accepted students visit? I think IU does general Red Carpet days, but D was also invited to a direct admit day for arts and sciences. She/we want to get the big rah-rah feel, see dorms, meet kids, and generally get excited. Less concerned (for now) about intricacies like advising, AP credits, financial aid etc.

knowing that, which is better for her to attend? Thanks!

My now-sophomore at IUB did the Luddy Direct Admit Day instead of Red Carpet Day. Luddy went all out and it was great — definitely helped push Indiana to the top of the list, and it has been a fantastic choice. I think it helped to see the specific Luddy School building, hear from their student ambassadors, see the dorm where the makers space is and where the LLC students live, etc. So much of what we hear about IU on CC is about Kelley, so it may be helpful to go to the arts and sciences direct admit day instead. Our own experience with a DA day was that there was still plenty of rah-rah, campus was abuzz, etc.

Thanks, great perspective! Appreciate it
