Disappointing SAT score...now what?

I had taken 5 practice former tests before and had consistently gotten between 2000 and 2100, but on the real deal I got a 1930 (630CR, 660M, 640W). I did better in math than usual but dropped 100 in both the other categories… Im feeling really discouraged now, because with a score like this I feel like I have to rule out my favorite schools :frowning: any advice? Besides retake, because that’s a given.

Study up and retake (yes, I know it’s a given). You could also try the ACT. I got a 170 on my PSAT soph year, but this year I just got a 33 on my ACT.

1930??? But I can see what you seek. You could retake it on June. And you should also try your luck with the ACT as dfree said.

Don’t be too disappointed … that’s a very good score.
