<p>Some were cute, some were absolute dreadful, and some just fell flat. A couple of thoughts:</p>
<li><p>Award for actually making me laugh out loud: The revolving refrigerator to protect the beer.</p></li>
<li><p>Award for tugging at heartstrings: The colt pulling the Budweiser wagon (with unseen help).</p></li>
<li><p>Award (?) for the commercial most likely to make me avoid the advertiser: The Go-Daddy strap break.</p></li>
<li><p>The “What were they thinking” award: Burger King’s Busby-Berkeley-type number. What WERE they thinking? And that King character creeps me out.</p></li>
<li><p>Award for “I liked it, but don’t know who else might:” The monkeys partying over the sales chart (which was upside-down).</p></li>
</ol>
<p>This could also be seen as a **promotion for underage drinking…**the “I won’t say anything, keep it a secret”. I have heard several folks mention this, the kid acting like the adult, the try it out and not talking about it…all in poor taste. I wonder if anyone else here sees it in that light???</p>
<p>I liked the young Clydesdale commercial and doubt very much that that was what they had in mind. Perhaps it’s one of things where someone sees something into a painting that the artist never had in mind.</p>
<p>I thought the Hummer commercial with the two monsters falling in love was really stupid - until the end with the “little monster” driving away. Then I thought it was quite clever. But, it is a one-time-only commecial. If I have to see it multiple times I will be annoyed.</p>
<p>I liked the continuing saga of the guy working with the monkeys with the added twist of the woman working with jack-a-s-s-e-s.</p>
<p>I forgot about the Diet Pepsi commercials - too stupid to remember, I guess. But I did like the Sports Heaven (long one, not short one) and Stunt City commercials as well.</p>
<p>“underage drinking?” hmmmm… I think that’s a stretch.</p>
<p>The plastic face on the Burger King creeps me out, too. It looks like he ought to have a chainsaw behind his back. BUT I laughed out loud when the costumed women belly-flopped onto the burger. Classic slapstick to my eye!</p>
<p>Totally agreed about the GoDaddy spots. Yuk.</p>
<p>The Ameriquest one with the woman trying to get out of her window seat on the airplane only to end up in her seatmate’s lap just as the wife across the aisle looks up. Things aren’t always the way they seem!</p>
<p>I thought the funny one was when a lady is trying to go to the restroom in a plane without waking up people sitting in the middle and aisle. Then a bump, the lights come on and that fellow’s wife is looking at a woman sitting on her husband’s lap.</p>
<p>Didn’t see the lady on the plane commercial, when I watched the Superbowl or on the website listed above. All in all, I agree that it’s tough to decide which commercials were worse for many reasons. GoDaddy was awful, as were the Burger King ads. </p>
<p>Don’t understand the United dragon commercial but it was interesting & creatively done. Maybe trying to tie-in with Harry Potter & Tolkien?</p>
<p>Was disappointed there weren’t more high-tech commercials.</p>
I had a hard time remembering to look up FOR the commercials instead of at the end of them.</p>
