<p>I am in or was involved the french national honor society, math club, choir, cross country, and FBLA. My GPA is a 3.7. On the weighed scale it is 5.02 on a 6. I volunteered at Sunrise assisted living and fort bend convoy of hope. Do any you guy that got the gates scholarship think that I have a chance+</p>
<p>Pell grant eligible and community service and I’d say you got a 55% like the rest of us. (990/1800, subtracted 10 as an estimate of those we know have it). </p>

<p>I’m NHS President, Forensics Club President, Debate Team Captain, a former Class President/ Vice-President, StuCo Treasurer…</p>
<p>and I’m involved in so much stuff… I attended Boy’s State and the Youth Legislative Session, and I was Border Patrol Student of the Month for October 2009… </p>
<p>I’ll be honest, my essays weren’t that great… but I’m relying on the rest of my resume to get me through.</p>
<p>question: do they use the essays only to decide on finalists… or to decide scholars as well??</p>

If I don’t, oh well, I guess I will have to take out loans to attend Baylor University. ■■■. This makes me sad. So I hope it comes in on Monday. Friday, wait, err, no. It will be here on Tuesday. <p>I would say good. I didn’t do very much community service. I just pray to God that I get it. I think we are all deserving. I believe that they should award the scholarship to everyone. [=</p>

<p>So I heard some others in my school received their letters that they won gates on Saturday. I hven’t received anything (rejection or otherwise). Is that bad news? Does anyone know if they send out approvals and then rejections or do they send out everything at the same time?</p>
