Distance Learning during undergrad

So here’s my situation: I’ll be going to the US this year to start my undergrad at a LAC(I’m an International Student). I’m wondering if I can enroll in a Distance Learning degree in my home country while studying in the US (I mean, will colleges allow this?). It’d be nice to have two degrees after 4 years. (And I don’t mean multiple majors  ). Any thoughts?

If you can handle the workload and the expense no one can stop you from trying this. However, you will need to be very good at organizing yourself, and you may end up without any free time at all.

Hmmmm…good question. However, I’m not sure if there are any F-1 visa restrictions concerning this. At the moment, I can’t think of any, so it should be fine but double check with your school intl advisor.

Breakdown of the amount of fin. aid awarded to intl students in 2009/2010. Long list, can post it here.

[So You Want To Be Homesick: MUST READ: Amount of aid awarded to international undergrad](http://wannabehomesick.blogspot.com/2011/01/must-read-amount-of-aid-awarded-to.html)

Cost is not a factor, university is state-subsidized where I come from, so I’ll only have to pay around 1000$ a year for the home uni.

I believe that shouldn’t be a problem. There are many international student restrictions in the US, and that’s why I suggest double-checking with the US institution you plan to enroll in just to make sure you’re not doing anything wrong.
