… between an A and an A+? I’ve been struggling to maintain a 97 average all year, but now I’m not sure it was really worth it.

No, not really, but I’d encourage you to maintain that A+ if unless it causes you undue stress.

Probably not, considering that many schools have no such “A+”. We only have A’s, even if we average 200%.

Doubt it. Don’t kill yourself over a 94 vs. a 97.

Well would having the 97 vs say a 93 affect your overall GPA or class ranking significantly? Also if you decide to slack off on your grade are you going to be careful enough not to completely bomb the final and finish with a B in the course?

Nope. The vast majority get rid of the + and -.

a B isn’t bombing the course

^^ He said bomb the final and get a B. Not that B is bombing a course.

I’d call a B bombing the course if you’re going into the last couple of weeks with a 97. If you start out with a grade that high you’d have to do quite poorly (relative to how much you must already know about the material to have that high of a grade up to that point) on the final, which would be bombing it by the high standards you probably already have for yourself.
