Do I have a shot at top schools without honors math in HS?

Throughout high school I have taken every single honors and AP class offered besides math because it is my weak point. I’m currently in my junior year of HS and my schedule consists of: fifth level Italian (honors), Precalculus (non honors), AP Biology, AP US History, AP English Language, and Honors Humanities.

However, I will be taking AP Calculus AB next year because it is on the track I am in.

My GPA is strong and will improve this year.

My dream school is UMich and I will be applying next year. I am expected to score 2150+ on my SAT and take a few more SAT IIs. I heard most UMich students are strong math students… do you think that this will hurt my admission chances?

Thanks!

You can get in. I would recommend taking Calc Ab over the summer/ self study it/

that’s seems fine, especially if you aren’t going into math-related major

Thats fine. Calculus AB is not even required for mst top schools

OP, you’re taking calculus so you should be fine.

(That doesn’t mean you’ll get in…it just means that, if you get rejected, math won’t be the reason. And at top schools there often is no reason.)
