What are my chances at UVA?

ACT: not taken
No SAT subject tests

Freshmen year: no honor/ap classes
Sophomore year: Ap human geography
Junior year: College US History, AP Psychology, precalculus
Senior year: AP Calculus, AP literature, Spanish 3, AP Government

EC:
National honor society for 2 yrs
Editor and Preparedness Coordinator for Red cross for 2 yrs
Sparrow club for 2 yrs
Sneaker club for 2 yrs
Track and field for 1 year
Link crew for 1 year (leadership class)
Speech/debate for 1 year
Project proto (business program for entrepreneurs) for 1 year
Volunteer at library for 2 years (70 hours)
Volunteer at community center for 2 years (130 hrs)
Also did a business workshop for Portland State University

Anyone #1 in their class has at least “a shot” at UVA.

They would like to see that you attempted the most challenging curriculum available at your school, and will look at the grades you received compared to other students in the same courses. Your actual numeric GPA is not so important.

They also want to see courses taken in the five core areas (Math, Science, English, Foreign Language, History/Social Studies) every year. That’s the heart of your application.

ECs will augment that, but will not excuse a transcript that has holes in it. Ideally, your ECs should show some focus and dedication on things you are really interested in outside of academics.

Since you are OOS, I think you need to improve your SAT score by at least another 200 or so points. That should be a focus for you.
