Do I have what it takes to get to Big Green?

I just finished a summer business program at Dartmouth College and I have absolutely fallen in love with the campus, the people, and the environment. Dartmouth is number one on my list, currently. However, I am not going to apply ED because I am known to vacillate on my decisions extensively, and I would like the opportunity to compare schools.

Summer Programs:
The business program for Dartmouth is apparently pretty prestigious and I’m pretty sure that the counselors will like it, seeing as how it was held at their campus.

I’m an asian male, by the way. Nice to meet you =)

Recommendations: strong to very strong

Essays: moderate to strong

Any help is appreciated =)

Hey man,

I think you have a great shot and that you’ll be a great fit for Dartmouth. Its not a guarantee but you’re totally in the running. Hope it works out, but you’ve done everything right. Good luck!

one word of advice: Apply ED. it WILL GREATLY improve your chances of getting in. Trust me on this, i wish i had done this. I was in your same position, i LOVED dartmouth, it was my top choice but i wanted to be able to compare schools at the end of the day so therefore i applied SCEA to Stanford (rejected)… and ultimately was rejected from Dartmouth, though i probs could’ve gotten in early. ULtimately i was waitlisted at 6 schools and will be going to Cornell in the fall. I am still in love with Dartmouth and must say that although right now it seems glorious to be able to have the thought of choosing between schools in April, your life will be SOO much better if you apply early. After all, at the end of the day you can only attend one school and why not save $1000s of dollars on app fees and save so much stress by simply applying ED

I totally agree. Apply ED to Dartmouth. The advantage for an applicant like you will be significant. I think RD apps will be through the roof next year given Dartmouth’s new financial aid policy.
