I was wondering if I need to do a couple years of a language other than english in high school to be competitive.
I’m from Australia and my school’s system is basically you can do up to 6 subjects for year 11 & 12. So because of the limited number of subjects you can do I couldn’t do a language and do the other subjects i really wanted to do.
I did do Italian in year 7, 8 and 9 though but not in my senior years.
I just wanted to know if it was a prerequisite to do a language throughout high school or if the admissions office will look at my course load and acknowledge that I would’ve had to drop other subjects like economics or chemistry.
