We live in California and the public schools here mostly use the UC GPA system of an A, B, C without regard to =/-. I know many colleges don’t for their undergrads (including my alma mater). Do they recalculate applicants’ GPAs to make them standard? Or is an applicant just compared to other applicants from their school?
Some schools recalculate. Some don’t. Few tell you how, or if, they do. File it under “it is what it is.”
