Just curious…I don’t as often as I did last year, but I feel awkward when i’m at the mall with my parents/family and see friends.

^ Yeah, but like, if you think about it there is no reason to feel that way…it just…happens
My parents generally don’t embarrass me, but it just feels weird. I felt the same way during college tours, and I felt like I was the only one who brought a parent

I just saw Star Trek with my dad after seeing it with my posse a week ago. Not a big deal.

I don’t talk to my parents anymore.

God, I try not to. My parents have been destroying my life in increasing increments over the years. :).

But yeah, I usually don’t like going places with them. They don’t know how to act in public, or something.

Yes, I do. In fact, it’s actually them who aren’t going places with me now.
And when we go out, I’ve accepted the fact that all parents are embarrassing, so I just let them do their thing. :D

My mom is so weird. She walks straight up, kind of sticking her chest out, and walks with pride thinking, ‘I’m a nerd! Yeah!.’ She even wears parachute pants (LOL).

Do I go places with her?

Indeed, all the time. I don’t care, and there should be no reason to be embarrassed. It’s my mom, not me.

I go with my parents to all different places.

Do I get embarrassed? Sometimes.

Does that matter? Nope.

I like going places with my parents. Not only do I never have to spend any money or wear anything special, my parents are really fun. Yeah, they do embarrassing things, but that’s because they’re comfortable enough with themselves to be completely unselfconscious, and I like that.

Plus, my friends think my parents are the coolest parents ever :D

I don’t really mind having my parents company with me in public.
I love shopping with my mom and going to the golf course with my dad.

I really only go in public out to dinner with my parents. I have a weird stigma where I hate being associated with anyone but myself.

That sounds like me a little haha.

My father takes me shopping. There are sometimes when he’ll give me the credit card and go to the food court, but generally he wants to be there to supervise my money spending. It would be kind of mean to be all “OMG, I can’t be seen with you” when he’s spending lots of money on me.

I go to meals with my parents too. But we don’t do much. My parents hate each other, so there’s no way we’re going out as a family and I have issues with my father, so we’re not just going to go out for a fun time either.

I go places with my parents all the time… they don’t really embarass me. (My dad does every once in a while, but it’s not bad at all)

It’s usually with my mom though, because my parents are divorced.

I don’t mind spending time with my folks. We shop, dine out, camp, and go to the movies. A couple of years ago, I was a bit of a pain, admittedly, and didn’t want to hang out with them. Things have changed now.

I go places with my parents all the time. Why not?

My dad likes rocks music, action movies, and is generally known to be a cool funny dad to all my friends. I went with him to the movies today.

My mom is cool to go shopping with because she knows all the stuff I like and she always knows what I want/like to eat.

Neither have ever horribly embarrassed me in public.

In other words, my parents are generally okay to be around in public.

This is corny as hell, but yes, I do go to places with my mom, and we’re actually pretty close. Haven’t seen my dad in the longest of years.
