i think my AP English teacher is gay… but one can never be sure.

No. My friend and I thought our 8th grade math teacher was for a while, but looking back I think we overeacted quite a bit.

I’ve never had any openly gay teachers, but my class had a suspicion about one of our lecturers in first year of college.

what’s wrong with gay teachers?

I don’t think we have any gay teachers, at least none that are openly gay. One of the English teachers, however, who also happens to be the advisor for the school newspaper, is metrosexual.

Wow_98, nobody said there’s anything wrong with gay teachers.

in middle school, my 6th grade math teacher, and gym teacher were girlfriends… and they were both creepy lookin
and in HS, we have a few gay male teachers

We have at least 3, but none of them are out because they want to keep a professional appearance and demeanor. I’m gay, and I frequently talk with them about things that they won’t let the general student body know about.

My favorite teacher was raised by a lesbian. He, as well as two other teachers (all 3 straight), helped start the GSA which I am now president of.

We did have one out teacher last year but he was “asked to leave”. (not because he was gay, more because he was an incompetent teacher).

I’m pretty sure my 8th grade history/geography teacher was gay, and no, I don’t think that’s a problem at all.

He’s still in the closest but my computer science teacher acts and talks SOOOOOO gay. He’s also color gaurd coach. I mean, the dude has to be gay. The way he hints about it sometimes, as well… you know.

Its just funny. A lot of guys at my school have a problem with this gay teacher. If any other teacher is gay, we can’t tell.

There was an openly lesbian teacher at my school (also the sponsor of our GSA), but she didn’t come back this year. We’re all worried (but hoping we’re wrong) that it has to do with her sexuality, because she’s absolutely an incredible teacher and I don’t know why else she would have been fired. I know it might sound reactionary, but there have definitely been situations in the past where parents/students have learned that she’s out (although it’s not like she discusses her private life with her students. she’s very professional) and become “uncomfortable” with being in her class etc.- i wouldn’t put it past some of them to complain to the administration. So I don’t know. Anyway, I hope it all works out.

everyone at our school thinks that our AP eng teacher is gay, although he’s married with two kids. the thing is he highlights his hair, walk more upright than any girl, talks like gay men stereotypically do, wear pink tommy hilfiger shirts (not b/c of the latest fad of guys wearing pink shirts) and has really feminine hand movements…really feminine. and he always has PMS, i swear. i mean he COULD just be really feminine for a guy, but i don’t know cuz he’s around 40. he’s a cool teacher though, so it doesn’t really matter either way.

Everyone thought that my 9th grade English teacher was gay, and then one day he comes in and announces that his girlfriend has just agreed to marry him the night before.

Do they wear signs? Exactly how does one identify a gay teacher…other than the teacher telling you??

My woman PE teacher is a lesbian, and it was really gross when she would come in the locker rooms while we were changing, she was always looking at our chests, and feeling our legs.

Every female gym teacher in my school is a lesbian, and they’re all coupled up.

My sophomore year math teacher was gay. (Some kids found his Yahoo! Personals profile and confirmed it.)

My sophomore year history teacher and current AP Government and Politics teacher is gay.

Nobody really cares because both of the males are great teachers and the girls are, well, gym teachers.

It seems like the most common subject teachers suspected of being gay teach is English.

I’ve heard that some guy in the sports department at my school is really feminine, but I haven’t met him (or at least haven’t noticed him).

thats funny, lol. all the english teachers are my school are like 45 and unmarried (two of them have been left at the alter…) and they’re all like depressed alcoholic singles.

we have one english sub that’s one of my favorite teachers’ brother. he’s VERY gay. :D

if any one department is the gay one, it’s actually lesbian and they teach French.

We thought our AP English teacher was gay…but then he got married and had a kid. He does act very feminine though.

how can you tell if a teacher is gay?

The two P.E. teachers at my school, both women, are together.
