Do you let the girl win?

I was wondering about this because I have come to realize that I haven’t played against a girl in a while. When you play a girl, like at basketball or badminton or something, are you supposed to let her win?

Any opinions? From girls or boys.

Don’t let her win, but don’t make a big deal about it if she loses.

I agree, unless it’s been pre-established that you’re going to let her win (and times like that are pretty obvious…). Personally, I’d rather lose every single time than be “allowed” to win :)

I don’t necessarily let them win, but im not going all out when I’m playing basketball with a girl (unless shes some b-ball superstar that can easily beat me).

No, girls don’t like when you let them win. But also don’t slaughter them either.

Or you might be surprised and they’ll beat you.

In a competitive trading card game (magic: the gathering) I play, in tournaments, I sometimes encounter women. On average, they tend not to be as skilled or competitive, so I do not “let” them win on the basis that they are a girl. Some of my friends would say, “Dude, she is so hot. Why did you beat her? Why didn’t you let her win???” And I proceed to say, “She is here to play me in a tournament, not to get a hook-up.” That tends to shut them up. I treat everyone as fair game. ;-)

BAHAHAHAHAHAH

hahahahahahahahahahahahha

ahahaha

sorry that was really funny

Sometimes the girl does the smack talk lol. I ran against a girl and she said she’d cream me in a 400m. Who said smart people couldn’t run?

i’m a girl and I say play it out…the competitive juices help get the flirt on!

i agree w/ anon, but seriously, i like a competitive game, adn then winning! what’s wrong with a little modern-age chivalry? plus, when she wins, you’ll have to rematch ;)

If you’re flirting with each other, yes. If not, do your best.

I have no experience with letting girls win, because I pretty much suck at sports.

roflmao, that is gold, jerry, that is gold!

if it has nothing to do with physical ability then try since it makes the game more fun. however, if you’re sprinting or playing basketball etc. try just enough to make the game interesting but if the game is close just let the girl win and don’t make it obvious you let her win.

Competitively playing with girls makes me horny.

^Thanks for sharing that information with us. We greatly appreciate it.

No, you don’t. Let her own you fair and square.

Just my two cents. As a girl, let me say it’s much more satisfying to know that you beat a guy by yourself. Not because he’s trying to be nice or he thinks you’re cute. Though, sometimes works to your advantage.

Yes, I found the sentence to be mildly hilarious when I wrote it myself. But seriously, do really expect that many women playing a math-based, competitive, card game? Good lord! The main player base is late teenage - early to mid twenties men! But, yeah, "when I do encounter women … " Good times, man, good times!

Winning is second to breathing.
