In the last year of travel, every hotel I have stayed in outside the US has done this! (All "splurge " level establishments.)
No!
Some of the bedding habits posted are a bit whacky IMO, lol. But everyone has their own preferences and peculiarities so I understand.
My daughter had to have satiny little soothing blanket when she went to college due to anxiety. Sheāll be 23 next week and she still has the comforter that she had in high school because she says she canāt find anything with the same texture.
I have two lightweight comforters on my bed even though I sleep hot. They are cheap thin microfiber (I got several a few years ago from Amazon which I use on the bottom and they have lasted forever!). The top is a pretty one from society 6. I donāt use a top sheet but wash both when I change the bottom sheet. My house is dusty and Iām OCD about it, so I wash the top one too. I could never let my animals sleep with me for the same reason.
I must have a flat/top sheet as thatās all I sleep with no matter the season. Thus, the duvet envelope is only washed once a year. As I posted on the New Bedding thread, duvet covers are a must for me (part of the decor), but they must fit perfectly (so I make most of them), and I donāt wrestle. I simply pin (or loop) the top two corners of the comforter to the inside top two corners of the duvet cover and shake until the cover is in place, then zip, tie, or button the bottom. I doubt it takes me two minutes but, even if it took half an hour, Iād do it.
We were in Ireland last year and did not run into this. I would be disappointed. I really like my top/flat sheet.
We all have our habits, donāt we?
I might have to start packing a flat sheet in my luggage if the hotels I go to stop using them!
I just use a fitted sheet and a comforter inside a duvet cover. Hotels that use only sheets and blankets are the bane of my existence. I canāt sleep well with that sort of bedding. When we travel by car I take my comforter/ duvet cover with me. When we donāt I try to determine the bedding situation. Being a fussy sleeper makes travel difficult.
Me too. Iām also going to wash my bra.
I take a flat sheet when we go camping. I sleep on the unzipped sleeping bag.
Canāt have my feet wrapped up when I sleep. I feel claustrophobic, I need to have one foot out to regulate my temperature, and the pressure of a tucked-in sheet give me foot cramps. I yank those nice sharp folded corners off as soon as I get into a hotel room!
