Do you think I'll get in?

If you wondering why I’m not posting this in the “chance me” forum, its because I think I’ll get better responses here. Anyways thanks for reading this and give me your best guess.

Stats:[ul]

[]SAT: 2300 (800M 700CR 800W)
[]SAT: 800 Math 2, 800 Chemistry, 800 Physics

[]Rank: 1/43 (GPA ~3.8)
[]School: private (relatively competitive)[/ul]

[li]Senior: AP Latin, AP Literature, AP Physics C, AP Biology, Linear Algebra[/li][/ul]

Gender: white-male

Subjective:[ul]
[]Common App Essay: Especially Good, I really liked it
[]Latin Teacher - very good, Calculus Teacher - very good
[]ECs: [list]
[li]Mostly science/math oriented[/li][]math team (captain)
[]latin-certamen team (captain)
[]technology startup intern

College Decisions (so far)[ul]
[] Duke (Pratt/Engineering) - Likely Letter
[] Harvard (applied SCEA) - deferred
[] Caltech - waitlisted
[] Princeton - pending (top choice)
[] Yale - pending
[] MIT - pending
[/ul]

I’m hoping the Duke LL bodes well for more liberal arts colleges like Princeton for example. Thanks!

Nonononononono

Probably. Harvard accepted some “unhooked applicants” with around a 2000-2100 SAT this year during EA. Admissions are weird.

In short, absolutely not.

Why would anyone think they could get better responses here?

Don’t you need to have 2500 SAT to get into Harvard?

^ If you’re a URM or a legacy. If not you need at least a 2800

was hoping to get serious responses -.-

Then go to the “chance me” forum!

^This
10char

can someone please give me a straight answer… I don’t feel like typing this all up and reposting it in the chance me forum (copy+paste won’t work with bullet points, etc…)

I think you have a pretty good chance…especially since you made a software for baseball statistics…how did you do it?

Ughh~ I’m going to give you the obvious answer. Of course. If I did ALL those things you are doing, I wouldn’t come on here and post a question when I, myself, already knew the answer to.

The baseball statistics essentially computes batting averages, on base percentages, etc…, and then computes player rankings. The algorithms I used are akin to chess ranking ones. If you have seen the movie money ball, you may know what I’m talking about (its similar to that system).

um yeah agree with el, go to the chance me forums…

This thread is backfiring

Nice stats overall. I’m just wondering what your technology internship consisted of, and whether you talked about sports in your app.

Not much point repeating the whole “its a crapshoot” but there’s not much else I can say. Did you apply to any safety schools?

Yeah - but I didn’t bother listing those because I basically already got into Duke, which I would go to over any of my safety schools (RPI, BU, etc.)

At my internship I developed chemical adhesives and such. I also did some just ‘handyman’ work, like installing ventilation and doing inventory checks.

Bump!! ! !

bumpity bump

You gotta learn when to let go…
