Does a retake class replace the old grade?

If I retook a freshman geometry course freshman year and repeated it junior year online, does it replace the freshman year or appear as a junior year course?

Yes in fact a retake does have the higher grade posted. It wont indicate what grade level but will say that Geometry is done and passed as a high school requirement.

@logster26 does that apply for self reported grades too?

It depends on your school, so don’t expect the freshman-year grade to disappear unless you know the policy for sure. At my university, if you retake a class they leave both grades on your transcript and just average them into your GPA. For example, if you got a D (1.0) the first time and a B (3.0) the second time, you would get 2.0 grade points for both of them together.

Incorrect. The correct answer, as @halcyonheather states, is “it depends upon school policy.”
