Does Anyone Watch "What Not to Wear"?

It’s my secret vice.

(((((shhhhhh. Yes. Sometimes. I’m not out of the closet yet. And I can stop anytime I want to.)))))

My sister told me about it over a year ago. I am now an addict.

Oh, goodie. I feel better.

I watched it until we switched to basic cable…don’t get it anymore.

mafool - lol! Me too, me too!

raises hand sheepishly

Watching it right now…

If you could nominate one person (not yourself) who would you nominate???

I would nominate my 31 year old niece - she just needs fashion help in general and confidence.

But of course. All of us Project Runway/Top Chef/ shhh… Dancing with the Stars, Iron Chef fans… well, What Not to Wear fits right in. ;)

At first, H dismissed this show as “another stupid shopping show” (H hates shopping). Now he thinks we should nominate one of his buddies for a makeover.

There is definitely no shortage of makeover material here in Seattle!

I’m out and proud! I’ve been watching “What Not to Wear” since before Clinton Kelly came on the show (there was a guy with long, dark hair whose name escapes me). D & I watch together, which I love. I also appreciate their “create the best you” attitude. They never, ever tell anyone their butt is too big–just how to find the best jeans for that butt!

I remember the guy before Clinton!!! He always wore those rugby shirts - he was NOTHING like Clinton!

I’ve been watching it for years too chintzy and yeah I remember that guy but I don’t remember his name either. I credit the show for helpimg me avoid dressing like a teacher and if I could nominate someone I would nominate my colleague, the world history teacher who wears peach cotton pants and huge shapless tops.

Sometimes I cry at the reveal.

Wayne somebody. Lucas? Not that I watch very often…

I watch it. I also bought a suede coat as a result. My friends and I are teachers and we walk on treadmills in the attached community center during lunch and we all watch it together (the guys are getting pretty fashion savvy! They can even diagnose and prescribe wardrobe cures before Clinton and Stacie!)

I KNEW it was Wayne, but it came to my mind so fast I doubted myself. Geez, some of things we DO remember…!!!

mafool wins the prize! Through the magic of Google I found Wayne Scot Lukas. abasket, I remember those rugby shirts too! I also remember one episode where he actually gave the makeover subject the jeans off his back(side).

I like to watch the show because there are obviously some “Thou shalt nots” in dressing that I had no idea existed and this show spells them out. They often have “traditionally built” ladies spotlighted–which is good, because I’m getting more traditional by the minute.

I’d nominate my brother, who wears aloha shirts and jeans every day to work. He must have 200 of those shirts…

really like the show. Would love to have Nick do my hair.

I can’t imagine spending that much money in 2 days! I don’t like shopping for clothes, even if it was with someone else’s money

I think they do a great job of making people with varying body types and shapes look really nice.

BTW, I don’t think that DWTS needs to be whispered…
