Does everyone have their popcorn ready for Harry & Meghan?

I’m watching it now because I kept falling asleep during the ‘live’ 4 am broadcast.

My picky things: why the choir was all different uniforms but mixed together? There were girls who were dressed like Harry Potter, but didn’t have their robes (over the white shirts and ties) zipped up, and their hair was messy. But the choir was definitely the work horse of the ceremony. Singing for 2 hours, in several languages. Good job (but more uniformed please).

Charles looked better than he did at the Queen’s funeral, but still looked old. Camilla looks old too. I kept thinking of how the child kings/queens made it through the ceremonies back in the olden days.

Tom Cruise as an invited guest? Geez.

But overall, a fun pageant.

I read Spare too and my guess would be he does miss family in the UK and parts of his life in England and Scotland. That is his birthplace and probably still has a strong pull for him. Hope his kids get to check out the UK sometime!

I’m sure he will be happy to see his wife and kids when he gets back to California!

Seriously! Doesn’t this just lend credence to Harry’s feelings about his family? Big difference between how the royal family steps up and protects Andrew but not Harry and Megan. This inequitable treatment has been going on for years.

I don’t believe he was at the coronation, but will be at the concert. But there were certainly some smh guests at the coronation.

Oops! Meghan! lol

Camilla’s former husband attended the coronation - is that a first (previous spouse of someone being crowned)?

That sounds great that her former husband was there. I’m sure he enjoyed seeing their children and grandchildren there.

Savannah Guthrie on NBC more than once talked about Charles being “coronated.” Anderson Cooper on CNN said “crowned”, which I think sounds much better and probably correct?

A person is crowned, not coronated.

I was surprised that nobody told Savannah to stop saying coronated.

The pages looked like quite the handful

Then that’s terrible that Fergie wasn’t invited.

It’s bad enough that Andrew was invited.

But really, I can see the difference between inviting the father of the Queen’s children vs inviting the mother of the King’s nieces.

Anyone else notice how swollen King Charles’ hands looked? Also, does he bite his nails?

People have been commenting on his sausage fingers for years.

Andrew Parker-Bowles was a page at Queen Elizabeth’s coronation. I think he should get to go to a coronation every 70 years.

I’m not talking about sausage fingers - he was born with those. I’m referring to the edema of his hand (between the fingers and the wrist).

Similarly the hair on the back of my neck stands up when I hear someone say that they “conversated”, as opposed to “conversed”.

Diana was no perfect angel either.

I didn’t watch live but did watch some of it online later in the day. I didn’t think KC and QC looked as…I can’t find the word…“self assured”? as I thought they would or happy. He looked a little deer in the headlights? Not in command? (I can’t quite put a word on it.) I felt like people were just leading an old man around.

They both looked physically uncomfortable. But then I realized with those robes and crowns, they probably were! And, they aren’t 30, so the whole day must have been quite physically and mentally taxing.

I’m lukewarm toward Camilla, but she bothers me less than Harry and Meaghan—

“Just leave us alone and let us live our lives, BUT:
—buy my book!
—watch us with Oprah!!
—see us on talk shows!”
