I’m watching it now because I kept falling asleep during the ‘live’ 4 am broadcast.
My picky things: why the choir was all different uniforms but mixed together? There were girls who were dressed like Harry Potter, but didn’t have their robes (over the white shirts and ties) zipped up, and their hair was messy. But the choir was definitely the work horse of the ceremony. Singing for 2 hours, in several languages. Good job (but more uniformed please).
Charles looked better than he did at the Queen’s funeral, but still looked old. Camilla looks old too. I kept thinking of how the child kings/queens made it through the ceremonies back in the olden days.
I read Spare too and my guess would be he does miss family in the UK and parts of his life in England and Scotland. That is his birthplace and probably still has a strong pull for him. Hope his kids get to check out the UK sometime!
I’m sure he will be happy to see his wife and kids when he gets back to California!
Seriously! Doesn’t this just lend credence to Harry’s feelings about his family? Big difference between how the royal family steps up and protects Andrew but not Harry and Megan. This inequitable treatment has been going on for years.
That sounds great that her former husband was there. I’m sure he enjoyed seeing their children and grandchildren there.
Savannah Guthrie on NBC more than once talked about Charles being “coronated.” Anderson Cooper on CNN said “crowned”, which I think sounds much better and probably correct?
I didn’t watch live but did watch some of it online later in the day. I didn’t think KC and QC looked as…I can’t find the word…“self assured”? as I thought they would or happy. He looked a little deer in the headlights? Not in command? (I can’t quite put a word on it.) I felt like people were just leading an old man around.
They both looked physically uncomfortable. But then I realized with those robes and crowns, they probably were! And, they aren’t 30, so the whole day must have been quite physically and mentally taxing.
