Does the University of Pitt take campus visits into account as showing a level of interest in their decisions for acceptance and scholarship?
Yes, visiting campus is a great way to demonstrate interest in Pitt! We also recommend applying early (the application opens in July for Fall 2018) and responding to the Short Answer Questions (new questions for Fall 2018 will be posted soon).

With that said, you can catch up with the Parents of the Class of 2017 board and hear our thoughts. Visiting campus, not visiting–the merit awards were all over the place. Some never visited and seemed to get maxed out on merit scholarships and then others with exactly identical GPA/rank and test scores were offered awards that varied by 5-10K per year. Very hard to predict.
is demonstrated interest a component of admissions decisions and or merit decisions? according to cds it is not - has that changed?
