Does sitting next to an attractive girl/boy help you concentrate in boring classes?

Please choose from below, if applicable:

A. Yes

B. No

C. Sometimes

D. Never tried

E. Most of the time

F. Berreta9mm is a ■■■■■

G. What kind of question is this!?

H. They don’t exist in any of my classes

I. What? Sorry, I wasn’t paying attention. Repeat the question, please.

J. The above choices suck, so I’m gonna create my own response.

C. Sometimes

J. It depends. Are they smart? Witty? If none of these choices apply, then no.

K. ur face

If I’m attempting to concentrate on the class lesson, then I’ll go with B.

vThanks for the clarification.

Lecture; the stuff you’re supposed to pay attention to in class.

J. How in the hell would an attractive person allow you to concentrate? Wouldn’t they draw your attention towards them?

^I agree. Choice J.

^

You’re going to be distracted regardless.

C. Sometimes
It’s nice too look at them. Same thing with hot teachers.
has fond memories of last year’s Ceramics class

My thoughts when making this thread:

Problem: You can’t concentrate. You’re thinking about what to do in your EC after school, or how to kill that dragon in the game, or the winning combination in a chess game you lost to that chess master. Or you’re dozing off.

Solution: Sit next to someone attractive.

Reason: That would give you concentration, because you wouldn’t wanna look bad to someone who is super hot. You’d act good, look good, and pay attention to the professor and take notes so that you wouldn’t look like a sleepy jackass. Thought this would override the attraction to him/her.

It works for me.

I think I had a hot teacher maybe once in my life, and I paid almost too much attention. wink xD.

^Yeah but if you’re thinking, she won’t know unless you say it out loud, plus if you give that impression anyway, it’ll just be a turn-off to her and make you more of a creep in her mind, so she won’t sit next to you anyway. I know this is CC and all, but even then Killing Dragons, losing Chess? Seriously bud, you are the nerd of nerds.

F, G, and J.

And A, but not for the reason you would expect.

Somehow, my visual perception of how attractive a girl is is linked to my cerebral perception of how intelligent she is. Therefore, I tend to think the more intelligent and outspoken girls are attractive, and therefore am often more focused on the discussion at hand.

I’m completely serious. You could give me the most attractive girl in the world, but if she’s a complete dunce I wouldn’t see her so.

^(MattNC) Bro, I got in Emory because of chess (my grades and SAT were average based on Emory stats, so… yeah!). I kicked some ass in state and regional tournaments and made my resume look cool LMAO.

I don’t play video game, though. Not anymore Why do that when chess is a game and something that is legit and isn’t looked down upon AND is something I’m good at? I just made that dragon crap up, bro.

Replace that dragon thing with Call of Duty or CrossFire, if it makes any difference. Used to play Call of Duty (Pacific Assault) and some CrossFire (rank Staff Sergeant or something with like 1.3 Kill Death ratio lol 'cause I sucked at the beginning.).

EDIT: Medal of Honor, not Call of Duty (see what I mean? Too much into chess)

^I play chess too! though I’m nowhere close to winning at regional and state tourneys…

Sitting next an attractive girl would probably make me more attentive. Most of the girls I find attractive are pretty academic, so I’d want to pay attention.

Ok I apologize, but still the train of thought seemed quite…not me? lol.

Concentrate on what, eh???

C. Sometimes.

Only if I like them and feel the need to impress, which is almost never.

The lecture of course.

No way do they make you concentrate more…I can hardly look at the white board because their head’s in the way. But they do make it so you don’t dread going to class everyday.
