Does Spanish III = 3 years of Spanish?

By the end of this year I will have finished Spanish III. I am a Sophomore and I started Spanish in middle school. Will colleges see this as 3 years of Spanish or only 2 years? Thanks

  1. That meets minimum requirement for some colleges. Some colleges prefer to have 4.

I’m in Spanish III too. If you took the proficiency exam at the end of Spanish I and are taking the LOTE exam at the end of Spanish III, that’s three years. You aren’t required to take foreign language again for the rest of HS.
