Does this seem like an interesting hobby?

Haha. I actually am writing a separate Why XXX for each. It’s not that hard, though. I’ll grind it out at some point, though probably not tonight.

I was going to get a lot done tonight! But, then I decided to go to a movie and dinner with my friends. It was definitely more fun than college apps. ;)

“movie and dinner with my friends”
or was it more like a date with a pretty girl…;)

A date with my two sexy friends! :D

…to see two guys get it on in Brokeback Mountain :p

I want to see BB mtn! Two hot gay cowboys… how do you get better than that?

My year off will consist of a few special projects and some work.

A few of my projects include:
-A study on urban sprawl, suburbia/urbania, and its effect on educational resources and “the leveled playing field” concept, why NCLB doesn’t work, and why education should be, though I hate this word, federalized for higher ed purposes.

-A report on why the SAT has evolved from a standardized, “level playing field” for measuring academic success to a non-standardized test with scores based on resources (it will go in depth as to why the Collegeboard shouldn’t have released previous copies for “prep” and that calculators should be prohibited or distributed to everyone at test centers)

-And, whether or not accepted, try to get more kids from my area and other areas in metro-Atlanta to apply to Harvard and other selective schools by visiting local schools, telling them about their offers and financial aid, and try to break misconceptions (such as only rich WASP males get accepted, you have to be “perfect” to get in, etc.). Speaking of which, I need to contact those admissions offices and ask about brochures and such for next year.

You know what I was just thinking…

Maybe I should send in a summary of my papers on education and see if the one of the professors at the school for education would give me a good rec.

Good plan! I like that you have good, planned ideas of what you want to do. I like that. :)

Brokeback was good. Some parts in the beginning seemed a little random or rushed, but they do make sense, if you think about it. The acting was absolutely incredible. The end of the movie was fantastic.

The most important question, though: Do they makeout in the movie? That would just be hot to see Heath Ledger Jake Gyllenhaal make out! Grrrrrowl! LOL

A movie about sexually frustrated cowboys out on a mountain together? There is definitely some action. :D
