Does UVA offer culinary classes?

I’m an engineer but I’d love to take a culinary class. I can’t find one on Lou’s List, anyone know what department it would be under or if UVa offers them at all?

I’m sure there are plenty of culinary clubs. However a class sounds awesome.

I worked at Newcomb Hall dining 35 years ago as a first year…now that’s a culinary class worth taking!

We do not have a culinary arts program here, sorry!

There are cooking classes offered at [The Seasonal Cook](http://www.seasonalcook.com/) fairly regularly. The owner of [Beer Run](http://www.beerrun.com/) used to do a J Term class about craft brewing. That’s all I’ve got.

People say it is easy to form a club at UVa. Maybe this would be a good topic for one, if they do not exist already. However, I have no idea what facility you would use.

We can use Dean J with her culinary expertise.

There are some informal not-for-credit cooking classes, one of my friends is teaching one next semester. I think the International Center also offers classes focused on certain ethnicities, which is pretty cool too.

here’s the link to the international center cooking classes that uvasystems mentioned.
