dog allergies

I think this is a big part of the problem. Those who don’t have allergies really have no idea what a big deal it is for the sufferers. They think it just means they have a runny nose or a little discomfort.
I would check out the doggie day care yourself before you suggest it. Sometimes these centers are somewhat picky about the dogs that can stay there- they certainly must be up to date on vaccines (some that a lot of people may not want to give) and well-behaved around other dogs. If it looks like a good match with your friends, find a contact at the center that your friends can call to get information. It’s a lot of legwork on your part, but if it pays off, it will be worth it. And it would be good to know if it’s going to work before you suggest it, just to minimize potential problems.

Great advice, moonchild.
