My old man is turning 14 next month. He’s doing pretty darn good these day.

Ours is 11, I think. We got her in 2016, but she was 4-6 months old when we rescued her. She ran away from her original owners because she was unspayed and in heat. We spent weeks trying to find the them.

If your boy a Coton???

Mine is … Here’s a picture of him when he had his full coat and would tolerate being brushed.

Yes, he’s a 2 year old Coton. I only let the groomer trim his face and his coat has never reached all the way to the floor like yours. But, boy does he have a lot of hair! I had 2 groomers drop him because it’s so much work. Now I have someone come to the house for bath and brushing every week.

They are the sweetest dogs!

I groom mine myself. We went back to a puppy cut 4 years ago when he stopped tolerating being brushed. It’s been a challenge!

If we’re ok with some dog humor on this thread…

Without a doubt the sweetest dog we’ve ever had. The list of positives is long and the only negative is grooming.

Do they shed a lot?

Cotons don’t shed. But they mat. It’s also hair not fur so they are good for people with allergies.

My two with the last pic taken after a horribly grueling day at the groomers

No shedding at all which was high on my list of requirement when searching for a breed.
