<p>Maybe she should transfer to UCLA. The porn star on their campus is quite popular. Of course, she would have to bleach her hair and get gigantic breast implants. Good grief.</p>
<p>Yea, maybe she could get one book she or a ghost writer pens, and then what? She’s very young and has already permanently slammed a lot of doors and burned a lot of bridges. When she ages, there will be younger females to take her place, but how will she support herself? Her folks hopefully will help her, but their help hasn’t been impressive to date if it led her to this place. </p>

<p>While that SHOULD be true, I am not so sure it would work out that way in her case. I think the negative PR associated with this story is something most academic institutions would prefer to avoid. I think she might have a tough time with grad schools.</p>

<p>This Duke girl wants to eventually become a lawyer? Even if she is not doing anything criminal, do bar associations allow lawyer members to be porn actors? I don’t know of any lawyers or judges in my area who are porn actors. Is being a porn actor conduct constituting moral turpitude that can get a lawyer disbarred or not allowed to practice law?</p>

<p>There have been many stories about this in the last two months or so. She got full tuition to Vandy and turned it down. She blames Duke for making her turn to porn since she didn’t get enough aid. Dad is a doctor. Some of the early articles had links or descriptions to some of her work. Some of it involves rape, abuse, and stuff that can’t be mentioned in this forum. She has multiple scars from cutting “you are fat” in her thighs even though she weighs less than 100 lbs. I think it was a frat member who outed her after seeing one of her movies. I doubt she’ll look back on this and consider it a good idea. </p>
<p>She said she has gotten some anonymous death threats and someone threatened to throw trash on her. I suspect those Duke students who are bullying her have watched a lot of porn themselves.</p>

<p>Most state’s bar associations have good character requirements but that usually means criminal or clearly unethical behavior would present a problem. If she gets into a law school and passes the bar, she will be able to practice law. If I had to choose a lawyer to represent me, I am pretty sure I could find a good one who does not have the distraction of being a former porn star.</p>
<p>@rom828, she said she received threats from those around her and on social media, was harassed at parties from guys and girls, and her family’s personal information has been displayed online. I’ll try to find the link at a later time. She also spoke about the threats she’s receive while talking with Howard Stern. </p>

<p>In her Howard Stern interview, she talked about being a cutter. And she weighs less than 100 pounds. Clearly, this young lady has issues. She also did the typical porn star/prostitute talk of liking women, liking bondage, all the nontraditional sex acts that are so predominant in porn. Her biggest turnoff seemed to be older guys. So, she doesn’t want a sugar daddy. She’s also doing the strip club circuit to profit off of her newfound notoriety. I think she’s a troubled young girl screaming for help. And she is probably from a family that demands perfection. Maybe a cultural thing. I think she’s doing this to shock people and as a cry for help. </p>
<p>Don’t understand why being a body in porn elevates anyone to being any kind of “star,” as the prior thread on the topic billed this female.</p>
<p>It certainly sounds like this young woman has a lot of issues. Sadly, I am unaware of any attempts by anyone to help her or others similarly situated. Media is merely expanding the spotlight on her. </p>

<p>If I have the facts straight, I believe this started with a story written by her in the school paper and then the local press picked it up. Porn star at school is like candy so you really can’t blame them. The national attention is on her imho. No-one dragged her to Howard Stern or the View. She is clearly seeking attention one way or another.</p>
<p>It is sad her family seems not to be doing much parenting at this point. I believe she wrote the article after one of the frat guys at her U “outed” her. All I have read on this thread screams that this young person needs help. Don’t know how she will get it, especially if her parents are ok with her choices to date and no one else is in any position to do much. </p>
<p>To me the problem I have with this is that this choice limits future choices in a way that she doesn’t have the perspective to fully appreciate.</p>
<p>If she’s lucky, the only lasting impact will be to her career choices, and not to her physical or emotional health.</p>
<p>I think there must be much more to the background story here than is being made public. What parents (with father being a doctor) would stand by and let this sort of thing continue? Perhaps she has severed all ties with her family? Certainly the parents and Duke’s administration could put their heads together and come up with some other alternative to bridge the gap in funding. Then we would really determine if the issue is funding her education or some other deep seated problem that she is masking with the tuition issue. I find it heartbreaking that no one is stepping up to save this young woman from herself. </p>
