Which one stands a better chance of getting admitted to my dream school (provided that I am confident about my GPA)?Staying in Malaysia to study the degree transfer program has its advantages, including having your bunch of friends that will go overseas together, and saving cost.
UCR sent me an email encouraging me to apply to Riverside campus. I had received rejections from UCB and UCLA.
So what do you guys think? Thanks

Transferring from a university abroad is often very difficult because it’s unlikely you’d have completed the general education classes required in American universities. It does save money to stay local, but transferring doesn’t make a lot of sense because you’ll have to make up a lot of classes. In addition, many universities that people on this website refer to as “dream schools” accept very very few transfers, but none from abroad.
If you have the 55k for UCR, I’d say go for it. Other universities still accepting applications: Ole Miss, Albion, Hendrix…

If you want to transfer to a UC, your best bet would be to attend a community college in California.
