Don't hate her because she's beautiful?

^Looks are subjective. I always thought munchdaughter is pretty average in the looks department. Her dad thinks she is pretty. We argue about it too (in private of course) with me telling him to be not so prejudiced. I once told my opinion to a group of friends and they took me to task. It’s not that I don’t love my d, that was my honest opinion !

Talking about royalty, who do I find gorgeous ? Charlotte Casiraghi - a granddaughter of Grace Kelly.

Emeraldkitty, a beautiful voice trumps all. Love Eddie. My (beautiful) daughter covers this song, “Elderly Woman” and “Better Man.” Feminine versions,of course.

I happen to think that Queen Elizabeth has turned into the most adorable old lady ever. Especially with those hats she wears. And she doesn’t look equine at all!

When my mother was younger, she was exceptionally beautiful in a show-stopping, Elizabeth Taylor style – It opened a lot of doors for her for many years, literally and figuratively. People constantly gave her gifts, invited her to parties, curried her favor. She received many offers of marriage. BUT. . .

When her looks faded in her fifties, this precipitated a MAJOR psychological crisis for her, and, coinciding with this transition, alcoholism. Difficult to go from being a person of such power and influence to a person who is just average, or perhaps even somewhat discounted and ignored by society at large. She’s still narcissistic, because so much adulation came her way so early in life, and she still can’t understand why the world will not bow down on her command.

My take: those who are remarkably attractive sometimes have great deficits when it comes to inner development. I don’t think it’s a trade I would make . . .

munchkin, Charlotte has a pretty face but not the body, not curvy enough.
Back to the original thread, I showed this woman picture to some younger men and they alll laughed. I guess my mirrored is not so distorted.

HotCanary, you were so wrong about Clooney.

So who would you guys consider “stunning”?
I think Pippa is better looking than Kate. But Kate is quite attractive. Not necessarily movie star attractive, but very nice looking.

DrGoogle : See that’s where subjectivity comes in. Charlotte Casiraghi does not have a curvy body that some people prefer, but what a face(imho). That woman have, for eg. the type of lips that a lot of woman nowadays pay to have. Most of the world appeared to agree too, since Gucci just hired her to front some campaign.

As for the op, I agree with most posters and find the lady’s opinion of herself a bit higher than what I thought of her looks. I showed her to munchhusband for a second opinion and he said she is “not bad”. I think he liked her looks.

ETA: Conceit makes people unattractive in my opinion.

She’s about on par with some of the average-to-nicer looking moms at the elementary school where I work.

Did anyone else get the impression this could have been an article from The Onion?

There are also lots of attractive athletes, including baseball players, so I disagree that Pitt wasn’t believable in Moneyball.

One of my favorites used to play for the Seattle Mariners ( no, not A-rod, are you kidding?)
[it also didn’t hurt that he often was standing next to Randy Johnson or Jay Buhner ;)](http://lumberkings.mlblogs.com/2011/05/14/special-guest-dan-wilson/</a>)

Poor Randy Johnson. Right up there with Don Mossi on the kinds of lists that people don’t really want to be on.

Pitchers don’t have to be pretty.

Beauty is from inside… I guess her inside is more beautiful than appearance.

Post#188, she is also famous and 1/2 italian(could be more) and that could explain the Gucci part. Yesterday, I saw an ad with Kate Winslet for Lancome. How do you explain that? I know she has aged better than when she was in the Titanic movie but still don’t think of her as a beauty, but she is now famous because of the release of the 3-D Titanic.

I do think Kate Winslet is beautiful, although I admit I liked her better before she was thin & blond.

I also think it is hilarious to say she is well known because of the release of a 3-d movie.
She has done a ton of work since the original titanic 15 years ago.
She was the youngest person to accrue 6 Oscar nominations, ( she won best actress for The Reader in 2008). She also has won a Grammy award.

Post #195, I wouldn’t be surprised if they(the people that hire her for the ad) capitalize on the 3-D release.

This string along with the responses remind me of that song I’m too Sexy for my Clothes. :)

She looks quite ordinary in my opinion. Some people carry/project themselves with an air that commands attention and perhaps she is charismatic in person. It makes the most ordinary person attractive.

Then you have personal taste, my daughter thinks Adrian Brody is hot, she definitely did not get her taste in men from me!

I used to think Adrian Brody was attractive, too, and even thought that his large nose made him even more appealing in an interesting way. That was until I saw him force a kiss on Halle Berry at the 2009 Academy Awards. He seemed so arrogant and unaware of her discomfort. It changed my opinion of his looks! Character definitely has impact on ones attractiveness.
