<p>I am in the process of shopping on line for dorm sheets for my freshman DD, and my usual choice for bedding over the years has been Lands End. As I’m sure many of you have noticed, Lands End quality overall has really deteriorated since they were purchased by Sears. Apparently that applies to sheets, too, because I read the reviews for their sheets that come in the XL Twin size, and most of them were scathing. Then I went on the JC Penney website and read the reviews for their sheets that come in that size, and many of them were very negative as well. Can anyone give me any recommendations for good quality sheets that come in Twin XL?</p>
<p>We ordered D’s from PB Teen last year. They still look as good as when she left a year ago. I also got her a spare set at BBB, on sale. They were never used.</p>
<p>So she goes back this year with the same two. I also have 2 PB Teen sets from when the girls were younger that have also held up very well. D2 still has hers on her bed.</p>
<p>PB Teen sheets are wonderful. There are several solid colors and many patterns in Twin XL to choose from and the organic cotton is so soft. I ordered sheets and a duvet cover for my freshman DD and we are very happy with them.</p>
<p>The ones I bought from BBB were nice,(Royal Velvet 400 ct) med quality in price but look just as nice 4 years later. I lucked out this Spring and got a couple of discontinued colors and they were around 20.00 on clearance with 20% off.</p>
<p>I will just echo the Pottery Barn Teen compliments. We have several sets, sheets and duvet covers, for our children and they hold up incredibly well and are very comfortable. If you have children that are picky about cotton sheets, these are your best bet.</p>

<p>Last year I ordered from Company store and they are fine this year. I just put some on hold at BBB but haven’t picked them up yet. They are 400 count though, and cheaper than company store. I like 100% cotton, and I’m not sure the BBB ones are. Fair warning… The stores seem pretty picked over for twin XL.</p>
<p>We got D2’s at Target this year. I washed the sheets before we shipped them off, and they seem really soft and nice. They had pretty good pattern selections, too. I was in the store last week and noticed that our Target still had a pretty good selection on the shelf, too.</p>
<p>We did BBB “bed in a bag”. (That meant we could buy all with one 20% off coupon. We actually didn’t have the coupon at the time … so I took the receipt to the home store the next week for refund.). It’s probably cheap stuff, but DS has not complained after using for 3 years.</p>

<p>My mom bought mine from Target last year. I believe the brand is Room Essentials. They have two types: jersey and not-jersey (I know they have a real name, but it’s escaping me at the moment. I have the not-jersey ones). They go for $12-$15. I have three sets which I change weekly and wash two sets every third week (realize I’m in the minority of college students regularly washing/changing sheets, lol). They’ve held up nicely. Good quality and good price. Taking them with me this year.</p>
<p>PBT sheets and duvets hold up really well. My guess is they only need to last two years because she will likely move into an apartment and get a larger bed.</p>
<p>Garnet Hill makes good quality XL twin sheets - in percale, flannel, and jersey knit. The GH percale sheets my D used for three years have been passed along to my S - still in perfect condition.</p>
<p>Lacoste also makes a very nice brushed twill sheet in XL twin - available at Bloomingdale’s for $68 per set.</p>
<p>If you want ultra luxe, Sferra makes an XL twin fitted (normal sized twin flat sheet) in a high thread count sateen. Upwards of $400 for a set:)</p>
<p>I’ll chime in, Target has great sheets, love Company Store, havn’t ever ordered sheets from PB Teen will have to take a look. There a many online sites that are good sources also.</p>

<p>Given the only place/time they will be used is college, it’s a personal decision how much you want to spend.</p>
<p>Got them at BBBY. So you know, Twin Xlong sheets are seasonal items meaning you can get them this time of year but when I tried to buy some around March, they did not have them out. The clerk had to go in the backroom and they only had 2 bottom fitted ones stashed. Top sheets BTW are not extra long, they are regular twins in all sets.</p>
<p>We didn’t get new sheets at all, because we had regular jersey knit twin sheets that fit the xl twin bed. Kids took those! </p>
<p>But we did look at BBB and Target.</p>
<p>Glad we didn’t spend a lot on new dorm sheets as both kid’s moved out of the dorms their junior year and needed different size sheets for THOSE beds.</p>
