Double deposits in multiple countries?

Hey, just a quick question:

I know that ED rules don’t apply when the other schools you’ve applied to besides the one that you applied to ED are out of the country, but how does double depositing work? If I put down a deposit at a school in France or the UK and one in the US, is that still not allowed?

How about asking the schools in question? I bet most U.S. schools don’t have a published policy for foreign situations.

I have a feeling I wouldn’t get an answer back in time.

What about Canadian schools? There’s really only one school I’m considering in the US. Everything else is abroad.

The telephone delay, even on a satellite, isn’t so long! ;)

This is one of the instances where it could be OK to make multiple deposits. Not all international students manage to get their student visas. If too many things would go wrong for you, you might not be able to go to the college you hoped to attend. Just remember that you will lose the deposit(s) at the extra place(s), and please do cancel the extra place(s) as soon as you know where you will be attending.
