Doubt?

I’m going to the USA to the east coast to work with temporal working visa. I plane to study at the same time after I earn enough money and I’m in doubt between political science, public administration and IT. According to some web sites the most wanted employees are with degree in IT, medicine and education, what would imply that the better choice for me would be IT, but I am much more interesting in political science, what do you think?

I think it depends on what area you intend to enter into. Do you have any idea what field of work you would like to enter? Also, just because you study one thing doesn’t mean you’re “trapped” to that area, for example people who graduate from undergraduate business schools sometimes choose to study/work in areas such as law, medicine etc. and are successful so you are still allowed the freedom to do basically whatever you want to do no matter your degree, it may be harder, but you can still do it.

I’m going to work in medicine field. But I would like to study social science and when the opportunity arrives I intend to be prepare to change profession from medicine to something of social science. What do you think, is it possible, do I have any chances considering today’s economic situation, the fact that I’ foreigner, unemployment rate.

Everything depends on your visa status. If you enter with a temporary working visa, you are expected to leave when the visa expires. Do not expect to be able to stay here after that.

I would like to prove myself at the job and simultaneously I plan to study, and after few years I will apply for the green card. By than I hope I’ll have finished college and I presume I’ll be able to switch to other job. That’s my plan, I hope I’ll be able to achieve it :)
