Hi everyone!
I’m looking for information on Drama Therapy.

I’m most interested in what kinds of work a drama therapist does in different settings (schools, hopstials, correctional facilities), and what kinds of games/role playing might be used in each instance.

Any information/websites would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I don’t have any websites or books to direct you to, but as a psychotherapist with a background in dance therapy, I will share that Drama therapy can be used in any of the settings you described. The exercises will primarily be developed to enhance the patients’ understanding of their feelings and to role play new behaviors or situations that might trigger feelings. Check with your local mental health association to see if there are any registered drama therapists in your area. They will be more than willing to share their experience with you. PM me if you have any other specific questions I might help with.
